TaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Wood

This is a solid club all around. Since I cannot hit my driver without putting the ball out of bounds, I opted to try out this 3 wood. For the most part, the ball travels straight and has good distance. I did slice it a few times in the first couple of rounds I played, but realized that I am swinging too hard. After toning it down a bit, the ball continued to go straight. I am even able to hit the ball off the fairway, unlike most other 3 woods I have played with. It is a very forgiving club for those of use golfers who need to keep their slice/hook in check.

I bought Callaway Razr X irons which happened to come with a couple of hybrid woods. I have a RocketBallz driver and really love it, so I can't help but kick myself for enduring a year's worth of golf without this wonderful 3-wood. It has all of the same characteristics that I love about the driver, especially the feel and the technology. But I have found it easier to be consistent and long with the 3-wood than the driver. Which means more lessons with the driver, but at least I have this RB 3-wood to help me in the meantime.NOTE: I give the club 5-stars, but Amazon, I'm afraid, a 1-star because nowhere in the description does it mention that this club comes with the head cover. In fact, they are offering the head cover as an add-on, which you do not need. I bought the head cover separately and now have an extra. Way to go, Amazon!

Love this club, I even use it on a couple of the par 4s on our local course to get extra height to cut corners over some trees. I didn't have a 5 wood in my bag prior to this. As I didn't use my 3 wood that often, however after buying the 3 wood of this same model, and getting use to it, I added this to my bag to fill in that last club I could add and still be legal, well because I hit my 3 wood to far to use on the shortest par 4. I started using it on the previous hole to that later in the year, after trying it once and realize I could clear some trees preventing me from taking a direct route with the driver.

I didn't have any woods in my bag when I started playing golf so I bought this after reading all the favorable reviews. I can hit it just as far as my driver, a $15 used King Cobra 9°, when teeing off but I can hit my driver with better accuracy. On the fairway it is awesome. I haven't played a lot of long courses since getting back in to golf but this is a must have for the few par 5's I have played. As I continue to increase the amount I play this club will be an integral part of my game.

I have upgraded all the other clubs in my bag, but I still used the same 4 wood for the past 8+ years.Tried out a buddies RBZ 3 wood and was bombing this compared to my old 4 wood. It really does explode off the clubface. I hit it nearly as far as my Driver and very straight. While I do believe the hype from RBZ (20 yards further every year) is ridiculous, this club is long and very easy to hit.I tend to buy clubs that are 2-3 years old as they are 1/4th the price, but still perform very well.If you are looking to upgrade your fairway woods, but not drop a lot of money, I would recommend checking these clubs out.

I've been playing golf for about 3 summers. I didn't have a 3 wood and my girlfriend's father let me use his when we golfed together. It was an older taylormade model but I hit it very well. I have the RocketBallz driver so I decided to pull the trigger on this 3 wood. I took it to the range and was just hitting bombs straight. I love it. I took it out for my next round and used it on a couple of holes and had a couple of beautiful shots. I am a big fan of this 3 wood.

The Driver is great and so is the 5 wood, but I am having some trouble with the 3 wood ball doesn't get up in the air like the others and doesn't have the carry of the other two clubs. This may be a little mature I need to get it the range and work it a little, but the sweet spot doesn't seem to be the same as the other clubs.

Happy with the purchase. Nice club good price.
