RAY-BAN RB 2156 CLUBMASTER Sunglasses

Well, I hoped I would get lucky and get a pair that was made in Italy, but like the other reviewers, mine are stamped with made in China.It's not a deal breaker to me because even if these are fake, the lenses have a nice narrow profile to them and do not drop too far down similar to my Wayfarer IIs. Additionally, the top of the frames do not "round" around the lens but instead have a failry straight line from temple to temple. Almost all fake or knock-off versions of a clubmaster style have a faint to moderate "rounding" of the frame over the lens. This makes the lenses appear bigger and for those with small or narrow faces, this large lens may look too big. Plus the bottom of the these Chinese Ray Bans have a distinct flatness to the bottoms of the lenses which again creates a nice linear look for those with faces that do best with straighter lines from temple to temple and check-bone to check-bone.These are also a chrome/nickel finish and not a gold finish like I would have preferred. I'm not 100% certain but, I was not able to find a Clubmaster II (New style) in the gold color through my searches on line. Not sure if that's a manufacture thing or I didn't look hard enough, but even the Ray Ban home site seemed to lack a gold metal version in the New style.The 4 stars is based on the fact that they don't say "Made in Italy"Overall, if they are fakes- they're nice but expensive fakes that meet my expectations for performance in the sun while achieving a look that I like. If they are real, they are a great price and worth the $100 I paid.I do wish the Ray Bans came with a soft bag that these and the Wayfarers could be stored in when not in the typical black Ray Ban case. I won't deduct anything against the sunglasses because they lacked this detail though the came with the typical polishing cloth.

Love these sunglasses. The size is perfect and the tint is just enough. One thing I was initially surprised by though was the size of the package. Delivered by tractor trailer, the package would not fit in my driveway. I thought, "what could possibly be in here? All I ordered was sunglasses!" Turns out, when they say "New Clubmaster Sunglasses", they really do mean "New Clubmaster" because I was delivered a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and 50 random people. When asked, they replied that they were part of my club. When I explained I did not have a club and that they could leave, they told me that they couldn't leave, because they are part of the product ordered. Frustrated, because they were hungry and I had yet to go to the grocery for the week, I called Ray-Ban to see if I could return the people but keep the glasses. They then informed me that it is a package deal, and to return the people I must return the glasses. Initially, I found this unfair. "How I am supposed to feed these people? Where will they sleep?", I thought. Turns out, they are pretty easy to take care of. They are happy to eat bread and sleep outside. A plus, is that they are happy pretty much all the time and always compliment my new sunglasses. They also encouraged me to find a passion and start a club. As a result, I can now proudly say that I AM a Clubmaster, as I have started my own club based on my newfound passion, Extensive Amazon Review Writing! Thanks Ray-Ban! 5 Stars!!!

That's right, I like em. But I don't love em. Once upon a time, I had these awesome clubmasters that I found in our lawn. And those were my babies. Until I lost them. I tried in vain to find them for many months. But, needless to say, I acquiesced and got Ray Bans just like everyone else. They've been ok. But every time I look in the mirror, I gotta say I feel like a sellout and they take on a sinister sort of vibe.I haven't been overly impressed with the quality, nor character of these glasses, but I think they're fine. Your money might be better spent elsewhere if you're trying to build a relationship with your glasses, but these work if you're just making low key purchase. In terms of functionality, they do about everything you want them to do. You can look directly at the sun for up to 5 hours (maybe more, I haven't tried) and people seem to like the way they look, compliment them, and gravitate towards you until you jump into your tirade about Russell Wilson not being an elite quarterback.It's your call.

Pro: They didn't fit at first, but then I just went to my local optometry center to get them adjusted. It took only 10 mins, and I was done. Now they fit my face well and no discomfort at all. Plus they don't look so big on me. I'll get use to them sooner or later. I also like the fact that they cover all of my eye rather than half of it or 3/4 of it.Con: They're made in China, which I don't like personally. Also the Ray-Ban case that they came in seemed to be stitched kinda last minute, or halfway done. I still wish that all Ray-Ban's were made in Italy, rather than in China.

The glasses are great. The case however is not as nice as I've gotten in the past with other Ray-Bans. The leather is more of a vinyl fake leather material.I would have given it 5 stars but the snap on the case was defective due to the "male" snap portion missing the ring to hold it in place. So right out of the box the case wouldn't snap shut to hold the glasses in.If I can't find a 10 cent snap piece at the fabric store they will probably go back for a new pair since they won't just exchange the case.

I'd been shopping around for a pair of these for a couple weeks and when I found this provider I was pretty thrilled: they're are not Prime eligible, but the company offers fast shipping for a small additional fee. I wanted them before Spring Break so I was a little nervous they wouldn't get here in time, especially after I checked the tracking update and I realized they were shipping from Hong Kong. However, they only took 3 business days to get to the East Coast, which I thought was phenomenal, and they were carefully packaged and undamaged when they arrived. Some of the other users are frustrated that these Ray-Bans are manufactured in China instead of Italy, but I honestly cannot tell a difference in quality, I think they're great!

The screws fell out of both arms on the very first time I wore them. I was told it was a defect that some of them have. I returned it and bought the same style from a local eyewear store and love them and they are pretty sturdy, so maybe it was just a bad pair.
