The 3rd Grade Creative Writing Workbook

This has helped my 9 year old with his writing so much. I love the prompts they give for each page and a space for them to draw a small picture of their story. It has motivated him to want to write! Recommend this workbook.

Great variety.

The prompts are good, but I docked a star because there’s no instructions or guidance on how to write a story , just to write a. To my 8 year old, that means 2 sentences. If a workbook doesn’t state how much writing he needs to do, he writes the bare minimum. I don’t see how any 3rd grader could write a whole page with these, but it’s good for kids who just don’t like writing. We started with 3 sentences, and we will add a sentence each week. He does one page a day and it takes him 5-10 minutes to complete.

I homeschool and my son loved the book and how he had to write a new story every day. So great to spark the imagination

This has been a great workbook so far for my daughter. She loves the different prompts to get her imagination going.
