Fantastic multi-card reader
I’ve had a good few external memory cards lying around in my desk drawer for a while. Some from older cameras and others from previous laptops I've had. And even though I’ve long got rid of the old gear, I’ve kept hold of the cards that perhaps they may contain some important files or, more importantly, old family photos. But I've not had the means to access these old cards, which have been replaced by the more modern Micro SD cards and readers. So naturally when I came across this all-in-one card reader, I decided to give it a try and finally lay my mind at rest as to what mysteries lie inside these old cards of mine.On first look, the card reader is fairly compact and extremely light, It didn’t come in a box but a small plastic resealable sleeve. Conveniently, the attached cable comes with a dual USB and USB-C cable making this more versatile to use on a variety of systems. In total, you get 7 x card slots, which altogether, accept 10 different memory card types. In practical use, once connected the unit emits a single blue light, to show it is powered. Once you insert a card into the relevant port, it instantly appears on my computer and lights up the reader under the corresponding loaded card.In terms of build quality, this isn't anything spectacular, it’s actually made entirely of light flimsy plastic, but if you're looking for an inexpensive and portable card reader, this does the trick absolutely fine.

Very versatile USB-C/USB-3.0 Multi Card Reader
This USB-C/USB-3.0 Multi Card Reader came in a resealable plastic bag (Gripseal), which is opaque except for a clear window on its front. The Gripseal bag is sturdy enough for me to use it to store the USB-C/USB-3.0 Multi Card Reader when it is not in use.I have only one gripe regarding this product, and that is the length of its cable, which is described as 35cm (350mm) on the Amazon UK website, whereas the one fitted to the USB-C/USB-3.0 Multi Card Reader I received measures only 200mm. That is its overall length including its male USB-3.0 connector, before it is plugged into an appropriate port. Removing the USB3.0 adapter, to use the male USB-C connector, reduces the overall length to 168mm.I use an aluminium stand on my desktop to raise the height of my laptop to a very convenient level, and its lowest USB-C port is 95mm above the desk. So a cable with an overall length of only 168mm, and that is before its male USB-C connector is plugged into my laptop's port, is inadequate. The Card Reader cannot be laid flat upon my desk, and I have no intention of using it whilst it is standing on end at an angle, nor do I wish to use my laptop at an inconvenient lower level. If the cable length had been 35cm (350mm), as described, there would not have been a problem, but now the only solution is to use a USB-C extension cable. However, I have other card readers, albeit without as many functions as this very versatile USB-C/USB-3.0 Multi Card Reader. So I will use the latter only when using a card which is not compatible with my other card readers.

Great for Loads of Different Card Types
If you need a card reader that will support all the most common card formats and some, then this one is ideal for the job.I got the USB-C one because although I have an older laptop and USB hub, this does USB 3 as well, and will be future proofed for a while. The reader is nicely designed, long but slim and a reasonably small footprint, it is plastic which is a little bit of a downside, aluminium would have looked better, but it functions well, and that is the most important thing. It supports Memory Stick Pro, HS-Memory Stick, SDHC, MMC,RS-MMC, Compact Flash, Memory Stick, SDXC, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Micro SDHC, Micro SD, UHS-1, XD, Micro SDXC, SD Card, Mini SD. I only need it for SD Compact Flash and MicroSD, and it worked well with those. The lead is a little short, and not flexible, so if you have your sockets facing upwards (as I do with my hub) then you wont be able to lie this by the side. This isn't a major issue but is worth mentioning.

Brilliant. Old photos recovered from an old memory card.
Well I am not high tecchy gadget wizardy, but when I saw this I hoped I might be able to use it to access some photos from an old memory card from an old, no longer working, digital camera. Guess what- to my delight I was able to see holiday photos I had taken back in 2013 and had not managed to see before. It was like going on holiday again. Anyhow, it was very easy to use, I simply plugged the USB into my computer and found the slot that fitted my memory card and hey presto! A couple of clicks saw my photos appear like magic. I was absolutely thrilled. Highly recommend. Can't tell you what all the different size slots are for, but it worked a treat for me with an outdated memory card.

Worked for our SD and micro SD . Very glossy black plastic case.
This has 7 slots2 are micros SD2 are SDWe don't have the other sizes it can read but the ones we could try worked perfectly .The cable is quite short and has an adapter built in so it can be plugged into USB standard size or USBCIt shows a Blue light when plugged in and when there is a card in a slot, it lights the appropriate LED under the card description. On the caseSD (this is the postage stamp size of SD card and worked when tested) 2 this sizemicro SD ( the finger nail sized SD also worked perfectly well) 2 this sizeCF We used to have a camera that took this size and the slot looks right but cant test it to see.1 of theseMSXC (I think we had this size for memory in an old phone) 1 of theseXD/XD1.21 1 of theseThe whole thing is 4 1/2" long 2" wide and 1/2" thick and very glossy and easy to get finger prints on.A useful thing to have if you are still using those older cards and quite useful if you just want it for the SD cards. No drivers needed in windows 11.No extra power cable needed .
