PT Coupling Basic Standard Series Aluminum Cam and Groove Hose Fitting, D-Coupler, Brass (HB) Cam Arms, 1" Coupler x NPT Female

I had ordered another brand/cheaper version of this. I got what I paid for - one cam lock had a defect that prevent it from locking to the male base. This one works perfectly. Although aluminum, it's very solid and should hold up well. It's about half the price of some other brands, as described, and arrived on time.

These inexpensive cam and groove couplers are ideal for my application. They are very lightweight, but sturdy. When used with the "male"PT Coupling, the cams lock into place smoothly and easy, yet hold pressure securely with no leaks. I use them to connect water lines between stock tanks and a small frog pond with a 60 GPM, 6 PSI 110v water pump.Using cam and groove is much faster and hassle free than threading hoses together., and these couplings fit the bill.

Wow did this solve a problem for me. I had an underwater quick-disconnect problem in a water-feature. I tried all kinds of things to allow me to connect and disconnect a pipe, the best of which let me do the job with only a minute or two of my arms in icy water. This is amazing. 10 seconds and the job is done. The first time I used it, I couldnt believe I had actually attached the pipe. It was too easy. It works so well that I am pissed at myself for all the years I fumbled with my earlier solutions.

Item does not form a water tight seal with any PT male coupling by same manufacturer, in fact is markedly loose. Now that I check closer, I see the rubber gasket is missing from both items delivered even though they arrived in individual sealed plastic bags. They are on their respective ways back to Amazon.

I am making a movable above surface irrigation system and the main feed line I am using is made from 2" schedule 40 PVC conduit (UV protected) for watering some hydroseeding I am having done and needed the capability to be able to quick connect/disconnect and move as needed. The matching female fitting is PT Coupling Basic Standard Series 20D Aluminum Cam and Groove Hose Fitting, D-Coupler, Brass (HB) Cam Arms, 2" Coupler x NPT Female. Very high quality couplings (both made in USA).

I used these on my salt water mixing station. These fittings work perfectly, no leaks, handle pressure well, no complaints at all.
