I have problems with deer ravaging roses planted earlier in the year and in desperation bought 2 of these to see if they were any good.It's only the third day I've only been using one of them but so far so good. Deer have sauntered up to the rose bed and when they've triggered the alarm they've just stopped in their tracks and stared at it. It doesn’t seem to startle them but they haven’t ventured any closer than around 3 or 4 metres before causally walking off in a different direction.If this continues to work and the deer dont eventually get used it which I’ve read is a possibility, I would say it's worth every penny for such a simple and effective deterrent. And just to confirm another review, this bad boy is exceptionally loud!!I don’t know if it will survive in the rain as its been dry so far but crossing my fingers and will update this review later for other gardeners who would rather have roses than stumps …

Performance is not good charge runs out quickly not good for winter. Funny noise like this. Stability good. Value of money is hard question the idea was great has little remote control and all of the sound effects. I would say worth to try

I bought the item to scare off foxes as they constantly dig holes in my lawn. Some of the sounds don’t scare them much but most do and I just need to work out how to keep one sound on when the machine is triggered rather than scrolling through each one. Not too loud and happy so far.

This product is just making random noises like police sirens and wolf howling. No point to place it in the garden it will only disturb the neighbours… I was thinking this product will make a high pitch noise what only foxes and cats can hear..

Good sturdy product and a great price

I purchased four of these for around the house to scare off foxes. None of them recharge themselves via the solar panel which caused me to investigate further. The solar panel on the top of the device is actually fake, it's just a piece of plastic with stripes on it. These devices have to be plugged into the usb cable to recharge them once the battery goes flat and this is the case with all four of these that I purchased. Other then that I would say it is actually a good product, shame they had to put a fake solar panel on the top. Most of the sounds are a bit alarming if you live in the suburbs but you can get away with the firework sound as fireworks are frequently heard anyway, the shotgun sound could cause your neighbours to call the police
