Excellent , based on what they are intended for.
Edit: Tip regarding chain; you might experiment with ziptying link 3 from each side together, this effectively shortens the chain by on link, the typical distance between handles on a standard 7 link chain is 5.5'', shortening this set will align it with 'that' standard and might make the set easier to use for you, there are other chain links of course, but 5.5'' distance from top of bell cap to bell cap is absolutely perfect for some uses and many users. - I wanted to be fair about these nunchakus (orig spell) , once I decided to write this review so in fairness to the intentions of the design, I go with the 5 stars. If you look at what amazon has available here in the genre of nunchcucks , all of the sets sold are intended to be fairly safe for children, there are no 'real' nunchucks sold here, I understand their reasons, but they should sell 'real sets' as well, with a safety disclaimer imv. These are a 'learner set' , they are sized very similarly to a 'real' set, but they won't be nearly as injurious to the user as a 'real' set, that is what they were likely going for, and they did a really good job of that. These have bearings, which enhances the performance, they are very light compared to wood nunchucks, but not that much lighter than Rattan, so you can actually do a lot of cool spinning tricks with these, and really learn the basics of nunchucks. I destroyed mine the first day, repaired , repeat, and on and on, but I was beating them as if they might be a real pair. You could break or hurt your hands, knees, head etc, with a real pair, when new to this hobby, as the handles on the other end of the chain, come back at you unpredictably until you learn how they react to strikes, and learn to strike in a way that for the most part , they don't come back and hurt you. You can also get hurt just doing 'katas' or freestyle spins and tricks. The center of the handle is very light gauge plastic, that is what breaks if you hit targets hard with these (which I did), they are about 3/4'' OD , I had some 3/4'' SCH40 irrigation/water piping at home so was able to slip that over the plastic , duct tape it together, then use wd40 to lube it up and slide the exterior rubber handles back on, I had to round off the edge of the pvc pipe at the end so the rubber didn't catch and tear on it. I repaired mine many times over the course of a few days, then ordered some standard pairs and graduated to them. I saved myself a lot of injuries by starting with this set of nunchucks, that is partly why I can't fault them and ding them with less than 5 stars, because these like any sold here at amzn , aren't intended to be the real deal, they are close enough to standard nunchucks so that the transition to them is pretty seamless. You can really learn the basics with these, and then step up to the standards; typically made of rattan, which is a little heavier, or wood, heavier still, aluminum, stainless, whatever material you prefer. A standard set is often 6 or 7 link (5.5'') chain, with approx 12'' handles, giving an overall length of about 30'', once your holding them the reach become about 25 or so inches which is a similar reach to Kali sticks. Rattan nuns, can be approx 5 or 6 oz per handle , wood about 8 to 9 oz , you'd have to double check my weight figures, I'm going by memory, also note, that you don't have to have 12'' handles , that is just the typical size, and some come with 3 link chain , not 7'', Bruce Lee sometimes used a 9 link, I don't think they had bearings back then either. Today many of the standard nuns will come with bearings, not all though, some will not come with bearings, a matter of preference of the user.

Nice weight and pain-free training
Nice weight for training and no pain when you hit your head, elbow or whatever. Not close to the weight of wooden chucks, but not super light, either. Seem to be well constructed.

This is pretty fun and good!
These nunchucks are very fun! Even though they are soft, watch out for the speedy strikes, they hurt.. Overall, they are amazing!

Chain length
This is just for training, hence it is very lightweight and lower quality, which is great for when you hit yourself in the face with it. My biggest concern is the chain is rather long, so unless you are a large man you are not going to be able to use it for many applications and it's not necessarily adjustable.
