Personally I love it. My skin leans dry, which is mostly taken care of with good serums and moisturizers, and consistent use of sunscreen. Overall my skin looks good. I'm knocking on 50's door with no wrinkles, nearly no lines or sagging.That being said, I can see little skin bits on my face when I look up close. I hate the way make up looks because of it, and pretty much gave up make up 10+ years ago. I have tried retinol products, most very high end, and most are too much for my skin even at low levels. "Retinol uglies" is a thing I cant avoid no matter what routine/advice I follow. Gentler acids are nice for upkeep of rest of face but nothing touching those weird little bits of what I assume are dry skin.There are very few drugstore products I like, but there are a few. I never would have considered trying this Gold Bond retinol product, but I kept seeing it recommended in a Gen X group I am in. Since it wasn't too pricy, and I figured if anything I can use it on body and feet if I dont like it for my face, I decided to try it.I have been using it for a FULL month, EVERY single night. I happened to be someone who noticed a difference with first use, with cumulative benefit seen and felt. My skin does feel softer, smoother, and the weird little bits arent as noticeable. I have even decided to start dabbling in make up again. I still prefer to use some spackle primer, but for once I have not washed my face off right after putting on make up.No noticeable scent. Not perfumed. If there is a scent it is very very mild. I get scent nausea easily and I dont have any issues with this at all.Unlike some reviewers, I DO NOT find it greasy, at all. Nor does it sit heavy despite slathering it on. It is THICK, but it massages in easily, and doesnt make me feel slick. In fact, I would prefer it to be more moisturizing. Yet it does not leave my skin looking or feeling dry. Just not as moist. Does make the next days skin care seem to work better!Because it has retinol (albeit probably a very low amount), I only use it at night. I also use it on the back of my hands, forearms, neck, and chest. If I used it during the day, I would need an added layer of moisture, and my sunscreen of course.With Urea being at top of ingredient list, I half wonder if that is doing the heavy lifting so to speak. I am fine with whatever is in here as it just seems to be working. I already plan to buy another bottle (so I dont run out) and maybe a smaller tube for use on the go.I'm really pleased with the changes in my skin since using this. It has been great for back of my hands which are exposed to light all the time. Even with diligent use of sunscreen, it is hard to maintain that (hand washing, etc). I a glad I decided to try it out on a whim.One added note, TO BE FAIR, I found the bottle a little cumbersome to initially get to open and to get primed to dispense product. I thought I had a faulty bottle, but with patience and effort I got it going. I have used every single expensive body, face moisturizer on the market. As a licensed esthetician and barber I normally don’t buy grocery store brands either, BUT that about to change with this product. This is the most moisturizer body lotion I’ve ever used that doesn’t feel like it either sits on top my skin or absorbs to nothing and only lasting 5 hours. I’m very picky on chemicals in these products these days and I’m happy to read on my Yuka app how good this product is without all the endocrine disrupters that’s in all of our products.I’ve mixed it out of the shower with some castor oil drops too after a good exfoliation and that’s a game changer also. I was in a hurry the other day and ended up slapping some on my face to speed up the “shower routine and skin ritual”.I usually can’t do this or I’m breaking out the next day. Well, just WOW. No breakouts, skin is so soft and while it won’t necessarily replace my face routine, I’m thinking I can just bring the smaller size of this with me when traveling to avoid packing so many products. I’m just thrilled I can save money using this price tier of product as it’s so affordable for everyone.

Amazing lotion! Was looking for something with retinol in it and decided to give this one a go as many of them are expensive and don’t even list retinol content. Upon application, I was initially put off by the tacky feeling this lotion had on my skin, but when I got up in the morning my skin felt absolutely amazing! I’m 42 and has been getting very dry skin and this stuff is one of the best at moisturizing. Only downside is that I go through the stuff quickly, so I have it on subscribe and save now to save a few bucks.

this is a really nice lotion to use for the winter!! once the sun starts really coming out I think you should put it up unless you're diligently wearing sunscreen on your body everyday, but I know I don't. I don't like the way it feels on my skin alone all of the time, because it isn't very dewy in appearance, so I usually do a layer of another lotion or oil on top of it. it doesn't really have a smell which is nice. I also will use it on my back because I break out there often and it does a good but not great job of keeping things clear. maybe in use with a retinol body wash? overall I am a fan of this lotion but definitely protect yourself from the sun most importantly!!

This is not my first bottle of Goldbond retinol, this is a repeat buy and I am still waiting for this bottle to arrive. I love the thick consistency, though it can be cumbersome to apply sometimes. It is incredibly moisturising and my skin looks polished and smooth. I have tried other retinol body creams, but this is my go-to cream now.

Great lotion. Feels great going on. Thick lotion but blends in seamlessly and absorbs quickly. My skin soaks it right up and just loves it, it is very moisturizing and soothing. It has ceramides and so many beneficial ingredients for the skin. Would recommend and will repurchase. One of the best lotions I have ever bought.
