The tea is slightly bitter and astringent.
Tansy tea contains thujone. It is the active ingredient in wormwood and absinth. It interferes with the transmission of nural impulses across synapses. I think it takes about three days to clear from your system. You probably won't notice it in 1/2 tbsp per day. It is harmless. There are also other bioactive chemicals in tansy tea.

a lot of most prized part of the plant - flowers.
I believe it is pretty expensive pleasure, but other than high price, it is perfect dry tansy.
