Reflective on both sides. Easy to cut and use.
Reflective on both sides. I use it in the ceiling of my greenhouse. It gets way too hot here in the summer. The greenhouse was getting up to 113 sometimes. This reflects off some of the sun from the ceiling. In winter, it reflects heat back down so the heater doesn't run as much. Very easy to cut and install.

Bought this again when I moved to another apartment.
Works really well, good quality. Two large windows facing the morning sun, decreased the heat dramatically and made the room darker. I used double sided sticky tape instead of the velcro included. Used a clamping paperclip to hold the insulation up so it was easy to get more light in the room.

Effective, easy installation, affordable
Purchased this to attach to my window screen and block airflow for portable indoor AC unit. Seems to have done the trick and the Velcro adhesive tabs made it super quick and easy to apply.

Block that hot sun
I don't know about you but, I don't handle hot weather as well as I used to. I bought this to put over my window that faces West and the sun sets directly into my window and it's so bloody hot. I read some awesome reviews about this product and how it deflects the heat and helps keep it a little more comfortable inside. I put it over the air conditioner window and it seems to help my air conditioner performed just a little more comfortably but, I'm not sure about that exclusively. One thing for certain is, I really appreciate not having that hot summer sun blasting into my window and making my place even hotter. I've heard this stuff is really good for RVs as well. If you have a window with a sun lasts through and you need to get some protection from it, I would highly recommend this. I really appreciate the fact that it comes with the velcro adhesives that you can put on the window and the item itself to help hang it in the window safely without falling down.

These are okay…. Just okay.
After a week of researching sizes to pricing, landed on this item for my needs. Goal was to block out the light of my office and bedroom. Few issues I noticed: - the velcro that comes with each “roll” are useless, glue doesn’t stick for more than a few seconds. Used thumbtacks instead. - these are not rolls, they arrive folded, and therefore have creases throughout the entire expanse of product. - material doesn’t exactly block light, in fact it appears transparent (see photos). If anything, it dims the sunlight… You can clearly see the pattern of the film I have on my window from the light shining through (one photo is sunrise light coming through, one photo is about 4 hours later with the sun fully up, one photo showing the difference of brightness in a crack I opened up… and I’ll grab one soon and post what it looks like at night from the outside with lights on inside)

Buy it!!
So if you can use these on a garage door for insulation.. I thought I would give it a try on the back of my attic door and the wall that goes into the bonus room over garage, it’s so hot up there. We put it in the door and over top of the attic insulation behind the wall of the room. I live in GA ( Hotlanta) it’s called. The summer moths are miserable. I was shocked within and hour the room temp went down 8 degrees. This was at 4 pm in the afternoon. It works great however the little snap clips they send with it are a waste I used double sided tape to stick to the door and then electrical tape over all the edges super easy to put up and works like a charm.

Keep the heat out!
This is so easy to apply to the window as long as you don't do what I did. I did not realize that there were 2 different stickies, one that goes on the window and one that goes on the reflective padding. They are a different consistency so one sticks onto the other and works great! It works great in keeping the heat from the house. Tomorrow it is going to be 107 here and I'm sure because of these pads my house will remain much more comfortable. Can't beat the price of around 10 bucks. It will probably save that in energy costs in one week!
