Works Well
I bought this to use with rechargeable LED lights (those with strip magnets attached to their backs). This supports the lights well and the glue side is very powerful. Be warned, it will strip the paint from a wall if, as I did, you change your mind about where to place it 5 seconds after fixing it in place! It can be easily cut to length with a decent pair of scissors.

don't buy as a replacement for metal tape
It adheres, but this is wayyyyy stronger than any magnetism potential for attraction. I am aware it simulates metal and I also have the magnetic stripe to apply to it, but the attraction is minimal at best. Luckily what I'm using it for only needs light attraction so I was able to use it.

Not a magnet! But still quite handy.
It does what it's supposed to do. But it's not a magnetic strip. It's iron-rich, so magnets adhere to it nicely. I use strips of it around my workshop mostly to hold pencils - I have dozens of them, all with tiny disk magnets super-glued in place. That's what I expected, and it works just fine for me.

Not really magnetic at all.
Wouldn't stick to anything except a magnet. This was just by itself, without any weight on it.

It's alright.
Firstly, it's important to say, this isn't a magnet. It's a ferrous strip that is attracted to magnets. All these one star reviews are a bit unfair because it isn't the sellers fault that someone didn't read the product description properly. That being said this didn't really stick to a magnet that strongly. I only used it to stick to the bottom of eyeshadow pans to use in a magnetic eyeshadow palette so it was fine for my use but if you need a strong attachment then maybe consider another product.
