Technically , This Charger Does Not Fit Porter Cable
When I purchased this charger, there was a review or a question/answer that said this fit porter cable batteries so I purchased one at a great price. By the time I received the charger and realized the charger did not fit porter cable batteries, the review/question-answer had been removed. The picture shows why this charger doesn't fit porter cable batteries. I used a drill with a wood bit to remove the plastic tab and it now works perfectly with the porter cable batteries - as pictured.

Wonderful replacement charger
The cord broke on the original charger so I ordered this replacement charger. Works exactly like the original. Very happy I didn't have to go out & buy another Black n Decker edger.

Works great! Is lightweight and compact for those with space issues! Looks good, just like a charger Amazon lol, but well made for anything made of plastic. Charges a fully dead (since last summer dead lol) 20 volt battery in about 4 hours. You want the fast charger you need to purchase the one that’s shaped more like a rectangular box. Great charger for the money. I have no idea if it compatible with off brand batteries but if I get one I’ll let y’all know. I have no idea how long it will last as it was just purchased and used once, but will update if it dies unexpectedly or has a stupid ridiculous short life span.
