I have used a number of TENS devices over time, both rechargeable as well as battery powered. I generally find that rechargeable units have the most power and the battery powered units to be weak. Not so here. This thing is more powerful than any that I have ever experienced.It is a solid device and comes in a decent plastic box. Inside is the device, a 9 volt battery, 4 pads and a well written and informative instruction manual. It says that it has 24 modes but they are a little difficult to find and identify. The main controls are found behind a hinged door on the front so that you do not accidentally bump into them. On the top is another hinged door with the on/off/intensity knob for each of the 2 channels. A strong metal belt clip is found on the back.The unit has the ability to select how long you want to use the chosen treatment. it counts down to zero and is supposed to shut off. I say, "supposed" because mine shut down and when I opened the on/off/intensity door I bumped the knob and it rose to "full". The unit turned on automatically and, this is how I determined how strong this thing is. It went to full output and, let me be clear, it HURT big time. It is that powerful!!! I had to unplug the cord to the pads to stop it. Now one would expect the unit to stay "off" until you select it to turn back on. So... I suggest that you unplug the cord when done before touching anything else.While I liked it when using it, I am actually afraid to use it again.

This TENS/EMS device has fully met my expectations. The pulse adjustment options are extensive; and the device works flawlessly. I am extremely pleased.

I suffer from chronic shoulder pain due to an injury. I have a TENS unit by a different company that I love. It is hard for me not to compare but I’m going to do my best.This little until comes with everything you need to get started. This includes four pads and even a 9 volt battery.It is very well designed. I mainly say that because of the cover that goes over the controls. That is an excellent idea because it can be easy to accidentally change the settings. And if you have ever done it, you know that you can go from a nice setting to paralyzed in a matter of a second. This has a small flip lid that covers the controls. Because it is clear, you can still see the settings.The reason I said this ‘might have ore features than you think’ in the title of this review is because there are controls accessible behind a flap on the front of the unit. That lets you run through different settings and modes.Four pads are included because there are two sets of wires. You can use two or four pads at one time.If you don’t turn this off, this unit beeps when the timer stops. Might sound annoying but it is actually very useful. It is easy to forget this is still on so this saves battery. It is also easy to forget to take the pads off sometimes. Again, this is helpful.There is a belt clip so this can be used just about anywhere. No need to be forced to sit in one place while this is on.A small plastic case is included to keep everything in one place. This is probably the only complaint I have because the clips that keep the case closed are not tight. Easy for this case to pop open.Overall, I’ve been very impressed with this TENS unit. It works very well. Everything I needed to get started with this is included.

Would love to give positive remarks but since this thing comes with everything you need(30+ page book, 4 pads, 2 wires, battery) but no where in the book says how to start it. Turning it on is easy but to get it to start working ...nothing.

I just recently got into TENS / EMS therapy and have another unit I use that I can compare this one to. Both units have a dozen or so programs but on my other unit has a large touchscreen that makes it way easier to use.The screen on this unit is tiny, not backlit and hard to read even in good light. Once you do get this working it does a decent job, intensity control is via a knob that you turn, it is also a little hard to turn as the knobs are inset in the top plastic of the unit and they are behind transparent door for some reason. You get four electrodes with this unit that work two per channel (the unit has two channels). My other unit is also two channels but it came with a much larger selection of pads.Aside from this being nearly double the cost of my other unit, the nail in the coffin is that it is powered by a 9V battery whereas my other unit has a built in USB chargeable battery that last 40 hours between charges.On the positive side, this does feel well built and comes with a nice hard plastic travel case.

This isnt a bad unit but its not as good as many others on the market. The carrying case is super nice but the unit itself is big and bulky, it requires a 9V battery which is not included and the kit itself doesnt come with as many pads as other kits I've used. Its a little wonky to use as well. If you want something more rugged, then this might be a good choice but my other units work fine and are smaller.
