Q: Now I need to know how the unit is cleaned because of not having filters?

Again I can't see how we know the unit is working without a filter? Your eyes don't lie. And there not Lying now, but, there not telling us the truth either without a filter to see dirt and other airborn Contamanants. Is that what everyone is saying that for the money that this unit costs or any Air purifier that is filterless we are just supossed to take the companies word for it? I mean a little piece of mind goes a long way.

Q: Can we use an extension cord with it?

I see no reason not to. It is a standard household cord.

Q: The top seems very hot. Is this normal?

Yes, it stays warm all the time. I moved away from my bed because it warmed the room up enough to be uncomfortable at night.

Q: Can this unit be placed on a table in the living room, or must it be on the floor?

I think the manual tells you about this. But the unit should be placed in a bedroom because you are likely to spend more quite time there and there is likely to be less movement of air into and out of the room. As for the table, you must remember that the heater inside the unit heats up to over 400 degrees. For this reason, it's best to place the unit on the floor where the air is the coolest. The heated air can travel further from the floor to the ceiling and would circulate more air than if the unit were placed 3 or 4 feet from the floor.
