Absolutely loved the film so I thought I'd give the screenplay a go and I loved it! Interesting to read a screenplay and I love how quick it is to read and reminiscent of the film. The book is gorgeous as well with cute little illustrations of the creatures at the start of each 'chapter'.I love Pickett the Bowtruckle - he's the best!

I adore everything about this book, from it's absolutely stunning cover, to the interesting writing within. I find such books really interesting and as a huge JK Rowling fan, this was an addition that I really wanted for my book collection. Having seen the film many times, this book was of particular interest to me.

I waited until after I'd seen the film before reading this script to avoid spoilers and, I must say, I enjoyed each for different reasons.While the story is excellent, I was a little disappointed to find that this is the exact script of the film. This isn't an issue if that's what you're looking for, but I was personally hoping that there would be some extra tidbits that weren't shot. I guess they're saving them for the delete scenes on the DVD.Naturally, you miss out on something by reading the script - namely the performance put in by the wonderful actors and the brilliant special effects. However, you do gain the benefit of the stage directions which gave me a new reading on certain scenes, picking up on character motivation (especially for the likes of Credence and Queenie) that I don't think came across so well in the film. In this, I'm now curious to watch the film again to see how my new understanding affects the viewing.There is little point in reading this if you didn't enjoy the film or the universe in which it's set. However, for Rowling's fans, it's a must buy. The book itself is lovely, with its soft cover and stylised illustrations of the beasts, and is a great addition to any collection.

This is brilliant. I was a huge fan of the harry potter series, and this is a great extension. I thought the cursed child was a mistake, but this is jk rowling's original work and it's done to the highest standard. She can't write fiction for adults, but her fantasy writing for a wider audience is really terrific. Look forward to reading the second screenplay.

Excellent read takes a bit of getting into character as its a screenplay but once you get into the characters it is a excellent books as are all of J.K's books I have read all the Harry Potter books and will read them again when I finish this and other books I like to read.Cannot wait to see the film!

Well, well, well.. what should I say. It was fantastic, wonderful, amazing and adventurous. This review is a mix for both the movie and the book (because I can't even separate them, Duh!). It was just awesome, truly awesome. Though this book is not really a kind of novel (as it is a screenplay), but while reading each scene I felt that I am watching the movie again. As I progressed to each scene, I felt as if each scene was going live in front of me. The screenplay is exactly same as the book, nothing different (obviously apart from the wonderful cast and effects). And seriously I am glad that I watched the movie before reading this, otherwise I might have missed the charm. And I would suggest doing the same, to you all.I just love the magical world that J K Rowling has created and I just love her imagination. So when I heard that a new movie/book is coming which has a setting of pre-era to Harrypotter, I was not able to resist myself from watching and reading it. I finally I completed it.I loved all the characters of this new world. All the actors were apt for their particular role - Newt, Tina, Queenie, Jacob, Graves, Credence and all. But my favorite was (can you guess?) - Jacob. He was so adorable and cute. And Queenie is love. The chemistry between both of them is just so good. And I think both of them stole the show.But one thing I missed was Jhonny Depp :( I heard, before watching the movie, that Jhonny Depp is in it, so I was eagerly waiting for him in the whole movie. And what, just one scene? That's not fair! But hopefully, he will have much bigger roles in the upcoming movies.And now, lets talk about the main magical things here - the Beasts. All the beasts were unique, cute and entertaining. But my favorite were Muffler and Pickett. Niffler was so mischief and his greed for shiny objects is just so adorable. The attachment of Pickett with Newt will melt your heart.All in all, this is the first book in the series which has laid the perfect ground for the rest of the books in the series., and it is definitely going to be magical and adventurous. I can't wait to see the next movie to come :( I would recommend it to all the fans of HP.And yes, special praise to the wonderful cover of the book. The illustrations are too beautiful.

Inhalt:Newt Scamander ist um die ganze Welt gereist, um die seltensten und ungewöhnlichsten magischen Wesen aufzuspüren und zu studieren, um über sie in seinem Buch ‚Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ zu berichten.Nun ist er in New York angekommen, wo er nur kurz bleiben möchte, aber dann wird sein Koffer vertauscht und einige seiner Tierwesen entlaufen.Mein Eindruck:Ich bin sehr großer Harry Potter-Fan, habe alle Bände mehrfach und in verschiedenen Sprachen gelesen und als Hörbuch gehört und kenne auch die Schulbücher von Harry (‚Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ von Newt Scamander und ‚Quidditch Through the Ages‘ von Kennilworthy Whisp) sowie ‚The Tales of Beedle the Bard‘ und das im Sommer 2016 erschienene ‚Harry Potter and the Cursed Child‘ (wobei mir das Letztgenannte übrigens weniger gut gefallen hat). Ich war sehr gespannt auf den Film und das Originaldrehbuch, vor allem weil mir die Harry Potter-Filme im Vergleich zu den Büchern deutlich weniger gefallen und weil es sich hier zum ersten Mal nicht um eine Buchverfilmung handelt.Ich habe das Originaldrehbuch gelesen und zwischendurch den Film gesehen und muss sagen, dass ich durch das Drehbuch allein noch nicht gefesselt wurde und noch nicht restlos begeistert war. Nachdem ich mir den Film angeschaut hatte, hat mir das Drehbuch aber sehr großen Spaß gemacht, da es mich zurück in den (spannenden, zauberhaften und rundum gelungenen) Film versetzt hat.Ich lese sehr selten Drehbücher und fand das Buch mit den Regieanweisungen und den abgehackten Sätzen anfangs eher ungewöhnlich zu lesen. Andererseits haben die Regieanweisungen sehr geholfen, sich alles perfekt vorzustellen und die Szenen vor dem geistigen Auge zu sehen.Das Drehbuch beinhaltet einige wenige Szenen, die im Film nicht vorkommen, aber ansonsten wurde (natürlich) alles eins zu eins umgesetzt. Sehr gefallen haben mir auch die Aufmachung des Buches mit den Ornamenten und Zeichnungen.Mein Resümee:Eine wunderbare Geschichte und ein großartiger Film mit einem spannenden Drehbuch und der von J.K. Rowling gewohnten Liebe zum Details und wahrhaft magischen Momenten.

This was an amazing book. The cover was wonderfully decorated and velvety to touch. The paper quality was really nice. A-must have for Harry Potter fans. The story is about the magizoologist Newt Scamander. I loved it and believe all the the potterheads will love it too.

At first I was very disappointed just like the most of us since we did expected from J.K. Rowling more than a screen play. However it was not as bad as I thought it would be. In fact it is a very delightful book to read! The most pleasant aspect about this book is, that although it may be a screen play and of course it has in some extent a formal structure that comes with this type of writing, the reader is still able to grasp some of the hidden magical way of writing that we are so familiar with Harry Potter.Overall I can say it has surprised me in a very positive way and I can only say that anybody who loves Harry Potter will also like this book.

El libro en sí venia impecable una vez a excepción de la cubierta de papel que le ponen idéntica a la carátula. Esta venia maltratada la primera vez igual que la segunda, solo que en esa ocasión venían las hojas manchadas por fuera. Recomiendo checar muy bien el libro para ver que venga en optimas condiciones, ya que al parecer están un poco maltratadas algunas ediciones a consecuencia del lugar donde las guardan. Fuera de eso, es un libro muy bonito y a un muy buen precio.

Como fan desde hace 16 años, me encanta todo lo relacionado a Harry Potter y este libro no fue la excepción. Es, tal cual, el guión de Animales Fantásticos y Dónde Encontrarlos e incluso mientras lo lees vas recordando la pelicula escena por escena, aunque probablemente no le será de mucho interés a alguien que no ha visto la pelicula o que apenas ha leído alguno de los libros precisamente por el formato de guión.Sobre el envío, todo excelente! Mi única observación y por la cual le doy 4 estrellas es porque la portada venía completamente doblada de una parte :(

Da ich heute in Teil 2 der "Phantastische Tierwesen" Filme war, habe ich vorher das Buch gelesen, um mich wieder besser an den ersten Film zu erinnern.Mir hat es sehr viel Spaß gemacht, das Script zu dem Film zu lesen, da ich mich so sehr gut an alle Szenen im Film erinnern konnte.Besonders toll fand ich es mal wieder ein ganz anderes Genre zu lesen, denn eigentlich lese ich Dramen/Scripte sehr gerne, mache es aber viel zu selten.Das Schöne an Skripten ist meiner Meinung nach, dass man sich entweder, wie in diesem Fall, wieder an die Handlung erinnert und wieder die passenden Bilder im Kopf hat, oder, dass man der Fantasie noch viel besser freien Lauf lassen kann.Trotzdem würde ich sagen, dass man es mögen muss, Scripte zu lesen, da dies nicht unbedingt jedermanns Sache ist.Die Handlung fand ich sehr spannend und auch der Schreibstil hat mir wieder sehr gut gefallen.Alles in allem kann ich das Buch auf jeden Fall nur weiterempfehlen, da es eine tolle Möglichkeit ist, sich wieder an den Film zu erinnern.

Being a huge Potterhead, I was really excited when Cursed Child was released. I honestly cried when the book came home. But I was very disappointed with it. I prayed to the gods that this book shouldn't be like Cursed Child and they heard my prayers. Jo really out did herself and I was absolutely baffled by her way of description even in a script. I absolutely loved it. I'm waiting on the sequel like my life depends on it. It's an amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've already read it four times over. It's just mind blowing. LOVED IT.

Saw the movie, LOVED IT, came home and immediately read this in one sitting! I was in Fantastic Beasts binge mode and it was like seeing the movie again! The story is brilliant and there's so much great detail in the screenplay. Plus the actual physical edition of this book is absolutely GORGEOUS.I do suggest seeing the movie first (it's so fun and visually stunning--GO SEE IT) and the screenplay doesn't add much new stuff (a few little details and confirmations you might not pick up watching the movie) BUT STILL, this is definitely a wonderful addition to my collection of wizarding world things!

Livro com o roteiro do filme (falas, descrição de cenarios e ações). Edição muito caprichada, capa dura, com sobrecapa, detalhes em relevo e em dourado, pequenas ilustrações em algumas páginas, folha amarelada mais grossa.Ótimo livro, porém é o roteiro, não espere um livro com narrativa igual aos livros da série Harry Potter.

Ho comprato questo libro per regalarlo. Purtroppo è arrivato in ritardo per un problema alla spedizione, che però il servizio clienti di Amazon ha subito risolto. Il libro è molto bello, ha una sovracopertina con alette, di colore blu scuro, e titolo, autore e disegni sono di colore dorato. Si tratta della sceneggiatura originale di "Animali fantastici e dove trovarli", nella versione originale inglese. Il testo è molto curato sia nell'impaginazione che nella grafica; il libro, naturalmente è rivolto agli appassionati della Rowling, ma fa comunque la sua figura in qualsiasi libreria perché è molto bello e da collezione. Il regalo è piaciuto tantissimo a chi l'ha ricevuto.
