This coffee pot was a perfect fit for our Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew 12 Cup Coffeemaker. No leaks or spills. The glass is honestly a little thin, but it still worked for our needs. After a few months of everyday use, my son broke it by setting it in the sink to hard when he went to wash it. I would still purchase again though.

After I broke (accidentally) the pot that came with our coffeemaker, I was impressed that this one actually feels heavier and more durable.

This carafe was ordered to replace an OEM Cuisinart DCC-1200 carafe because the numbers on the sides were no longer legible.The carafe looks and feels almost exactly like the original except that the numbers are only on one side and the stainless steel band around the carafe doesn't bear the brand. One caution: the lid has a dome in the middle that helps to position the carafe properly under the filter holder This dome is much more pronounced than on the original lid and makes inserting and removing the carafe from the coffee maker a little problematic. Too much force could damage or break off the valve that allows the carafe to be removed mid-brew. My solution was to use the old lid, which properly fits the new carafe. The new lid is on the left.

I purchased this as a replacement for my original carafe that was 4 years old because of staining that wouldn't come clean with vinegar or bar keepers friend. I bought it because it was less expensive than the Cuisinart brand, the reviews were positive, and I thought how could it be that much different that the original manufacturer's version? Well....there is definitely a difference! I have only owned this one a month and it is already stained and won't come clean even though I clean it out with soap every day. The functionality is perfect, but I bought this one purely for aesthetics, so I am very irritated at the poor quality.
