Lacuna Board Game – A Cozy Game of Mystical Geometry for 2 Player, Like Chess Without The Grid

This game is deceptively simple, elegant, fast and fun, and a great conversation starter because of its unusual form factor and setup. I’ve played it with a variety of partners, and while they all enjoy it, it’s always for a different reason from the strategy to just the tactile please of moving the really nice components around. We even tried it as a team vs team game, and it worked very well at encouraging strategy discussions. Highly recommended!

I keep coming back to Lacuna. It's quick and easy to teach, it's beautiful, and it scales well with player investment. Meaning the more intensely you want to play, the deeper the game goes. This is a great game for two players. Accessible for anyone young-adult to senior. Great value for money, and highly giftable.

One of my fav games. Requires a bit of thinking. Need some space to play (large table or floor) but it is a very easy game and takes little to no time to play. A game can be played in less than 5 min

Initially, this game looks very simple and it is easy to learn the rules. However, once you figure out what you are doing you can become more strategic in your moves and increase the level of complexity. It's a fast play game and perfect for times when you want to play a game but don't have a lot of time. The game pieces are beautiful and of high quality. I recommend this game to people all the time.

Love this game! It’s super quick to play (sometimes under 5 min) but it’s easy to learn and fun. I do feel like the price is high for what you get as there aren’t a ton of pieces; but everything is nice quality.

This game is surprisingly even more relaxing than I thought it would be, yet still has a very competitive feel to it. The gameplay was well thought-out and it will take many rounds of play to determine the best strategy. The game really has two phases that each score differently: the placing of the pawns to get flowers in the moment, then a distributing of the flowers once the pawns have been played to get tokens to end the game. Each of these phases are obviously connected but require two different ways of thinking. I love everything about this game. The only issue I have faced is that, when playing under certain (and lower) light, it is difficult to differentiate the gold from the silver pawns, which I may need to repaint or replace with something similar. Other than that, highly recommended.

Visually and physically appealing, pieces and board are pleasing to use. Game play is immediately engaging and simple enough to begin immediately but I can see that there is definite strategy to develop as I play more.

Lacuna is super easy to learn and play. A game lasts about 10 minutes or less, and it’s super easy to set up and put away. The flowers are made of wood, and the player tokens of metal - all good quality. The artwork is nice and vibrant, and the game and box look pretty. The only criticism I have is that the silver and gold player tokens can look similar in certain lighting conditions. Gold/Silver and Bronze would have stood out against each other better I think. I think Lacuna would make a great present for anyone who likes short, easy to play games.

The product took a little bit more time to arrive than expected. However it was completely worth it! Super easy game, amazing packaging and super fun to play.

A quick strategy game with beautiful parts - wooden cut out flowers and nice heavy metallic player tokens. Very easy to teach but has a fair amount of strategy especially in the second half of the game when you're picking flowers closest to your token - that's when you realise how important it is to think ahead in the first half of the game when you're laying the tokens down. I think you could teach it to younger kids say 8-10 years old but adults will enjoy it too. Note that playing first puts you at a slight tactical disadvantage.

Amazing, colorful and well designed boardgame. Perfect for people who dont play alot of games.
