Great to work with
I have used this filament for many applications, and it is effortless to print with. I noticed it does absorb moisture rather quickly, causing crackling as the filament is extruded through the printer head. But I have had no problems with my prints. It is important to follow the recommended setting. It is extremely tough and is heat resistant to 180 c. Good for industrial parts. I have made many gears out of this, and they do not wear down. I would highly recommend this over ABS, but it is about twice the price of ABS. So, pay less and deal with the warping issues or pay more and print strong parts as easily as printing PLA.

I really wanted it to work for my project
I love the way PA6-CF prints "When the prints stay stuck to the bed and the high nozzle temps needed to properly melt the stuff, so it doesn't clog or cool down while ironing and then rip your support trunk right off the build plate" I've tried everything with this stuff. It might work on a much smaller and shorter project. Unfortunately for me I needed this to print a 45hr file. The spool keeps unspooling itself inside my creality air dryer box for whatever reason. I have to manually rewind it inside the box every few hours. Rafts and Brims print like garbage with this filament. Once it gets to the actual print it did great but then proceeds to knock off a support leg halfway into the file. You really need a constant 300c to 310c to print this junk. I used magigoo nylon to no avail, tried re-gluing the branch down with plastic super glue but it still knocked off. Bought that expensive nano glue and it still comes up. Printing with a BCN3D Epsilon W50 with an X hotend. Settings 300c, 70c initial bed temp then 50c. 30mms print speeds with %110 flow rate. Tried raft at first but the amount of time it requires just to pop off isn't worth it, so i did brim next. I've printed dozens of successful prints with NylonX but PA^-CF needs much hotter print temps. I just like its matte finish and strength if it would just stay the bleep down! Buy at your own risk

Constant jams / tangling
Constant tangling / jamming. In a single print over the course of 6 hours I've experienced over 30 'filament stuck' errors due to the design of this spool. You cannot walk away and let this stuff run.

Incredibly Strong. easy to print
i've used most major carbon fiber infused nylons. this is hands down the best, significantly stronger than either carbonX or NylonX, the print finish looks flawless like NylonX and prints as easy as carbonX with no vibisble warp. Also far less hydroscopic than both as its Nylon-12. Without drying I had better prints than both on first attempt. printed at 110 on the bed and 285 on the hotend

Perfect for respooling multiple spools
Great bulk quantity. The recent price increase is noticeable, however.

Prolly ok.
Can’t rate higher as I am unable to print it properly. Be prepared for weak prints unless you can anneal it. Looks cool though.

I am beyond pleased with the Polymaker PolyMide PA12-CF Nylon Filament! This 2.85mm (3mm) carbon fiber nylon filament has truly transformed my 3D printing projects. The standout feature of this filament is its low moisture sensitivity. Living in a humid area, I’ve struggled with filaments absorbing moisture and causing print issues. But with the PA12-CF, those problems are a thing of the past. The prints come out perfectly smooth and consistent every time. The carbon fiber reinforcement adds incredible strength and rigidity to my prints. I’ve used it for creating high-stress parts, and the results are phenomenal. The prints are robust, durable, and able to withstand significant wear and tear. This filament has made it possible for me to tackle more demanding projects with confidence. I also appreciate the warp-free properties of this nylon filament. Warping has always been a challenge with nylon materials, but the PolyMide PA12-CF stays flat and adheres excellently to the print bed. This has drastically reduced failed prints and made the printing process much more efficient. The 500g spool is perfect for my needs, offering enough material to complete several projects without the hassle of constant spool changes. The filament diameter is consistently 2.85mm, which ensures smooth extrusion and high-quality prints every time. Overall, the Polymaker PolyMide PA12-CF Nylon Filament has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s reliable, strong, and easy to work with, making it a must-have for anyone serious about 3D printing. I highly recommend this filament for its exceptional performance and quality. It has significantly enhanced my printing capabilities and project outcomes!
