DO NOT BUY THIS KIT IF YOU HAVE AN SFF OR SMALL FORM FACTOR BOARD - IT WILL NOT WORK This kit is designed for the mid tower (not SFF or small form factor) desktops. It allows you to connect standard PC case I/O headers to the Dell Optiplex 390, 3010, and 3020 MT/DT motherboards. These are often used to build budget and high end gaming PC’s using decommissioned office desktops and convert them to work with modern PC cases. These adapters will also get rid of that annoying front panel error on startup. Warning, connecting these adapters in the wrong orientation or with the wrong models could result in damage to your motherboard. Do not use these adapters with models other than the ones mentioned above.

Great! Cleared errors on 3620
Worked on my Precision 3620. I needed it to clear the motherboard F1 errors (IO Front cable and power cable failures) with my new custom case. Best part is I only wanted to plug in the power cable and nothing else. Even with nothing plugged into the front IO panel, it still cleared the errors.

Old T1600 Server to a new N600 case!
I needed this so I could connect my T1600 based server to a bigger case so I could fit more drives and improve cooling. I'll upgrade the motherboard and all some day (likely soon) but this was inexpensive and worked perfectly to buy me time.I appreciate that it has the diagnostic LEDs. That is a nice detail that could've easily been overlooked. It would be even better if it included a piece to address the fan warning on boot but I can't hold that against it.

You NEED these if you are adapting a Dell Optiplex to other cases
They take care of the proprietary connections that Dell insists on using in its nice office computers. The cool thing with these older machines is that they make great gaming computers as well. Of course, who wants a gaming computer in a boring old office style computer case? Not me, which is why I transplant a few of them into nicer cases. In order to do so AND have the front panel work, you need these adapters. They take care of the front panel in most cases and also allow you to use your cases' ON/OFF button. The power switch adapter SHOULD work on 90% of OptiPlex and a few others from Dell. The front panel adapter, however, only works in the larger systems and not the SFF or Micosized machines. You CAN transplant these into other cases, but have to do some soldering in order to have the front panel stuff work.

It works, but the devil is in the details
There is no reset button for the motherboard, so therefore there is no reset option on this converter. Also this appears to use HD Audio so won't work with AC'97 front audio systems which is present in some really old cases (which is what I had). To be fair, I think the original motherboard also uses HD Audio, which would make conversion difficult or even impossible. Make sure you get the orientation of the power button switch right. They did not put instructions on the orientation. The bottom part also might interfere with very long graphics cards as a warning. You still need to attach the thermometer and fan from the 790 in order for it not to complain when booting (no big deal if you have the 790 case, but just as a heads up if you only have the motherboard).Overall, kind of a hacky workaround to make an old motherboard to work in a different case. Almost think it is just better to use the old case and get a high watt power supply (which can be rare for the sff edition), and live with the half sized video cards that fit the sff case.In my case I also had a video card that was so long that it would not fit in either pcie slot and so had to order an extension pci cable and put it in a normal sized ATX case (not micro ATX).

A Most Pleasant Upgrade !!!
THANK YOU!!! My order was handled in a 'very professional' manner... The Instructions were very clear, and I used these items to upgrade a older model DELL Computer to a very nice gaming computer. I needed a modern looking case and the adapter was just what I needed to interface 'the motherboard', 'usb ports', and 'power switch' to the new case. Once again, Thanks!

Worked as intended, disappointing build
Very good for the money and easy to install. The build quality was a little poor with the labels and pins being misaligned. I did have to cut some plastic for it to properly fit the connectors from the pc
