Compromised by poor software.q
DVD/CD burner itself is reasonably well made but rather flimsy and no faster than the one in my old Windows 7 desktop PC. The software however is not fit for purpose and not reading or writing on DVD-RWs or CD-RW, insisting that they were an unknown format. Problem resolved by installing Nero software which worked first time on both formats. Being a known brand expensive for what it is.

After probably ten years with an external drive, I found myself needing to burn a CD to provide the VA. The reviews online were very mixed until I came to the Lenovo Slim. And while I didn't plan to use it much, I also didn't want to deal with returning or troubleshooting a hit or miss product either. So I paid a little more and for that I received a plug and play product that I experienced no issues with. My Windows 10 machine recognized it instantly and I was burning CDs within a minute of plugging it in. Burn speeds seem to be as advertised and the devises, while light and a little flimsy feeling, seems durable. I sort of wish I had more use for it as it seems like a well made product.

Pros: Very slim and portable. Easy to use. No additional drivers required. Fits in my laptop bag without any hassle. Cons: Drive tray appears to be thin. Got to be careful especially when working with a laptop. An accidental move while opening the tray may result tray getting damaged. Haven't tried connecting to a TV yet. Got to follow instructions mentioned to connect to TV. Overall, it is a very nice product.
