I picked up the REDCON1 Baja Bomb Zero Sugar Energy Drink expecting something closer to a Mountain Dew Baja Blast–style flavor, and while that’s not quite what you get, it’s still a very enjoyable drink. To me, the taste leans more toward a pineapple / piña colada vibe with a tropical sweetness rather than citrus-lime soda. Once I adjusted my expectations, I actually found myself liking it more with each can; refreshing, smooth, and not overly artificial. Performance-wise, this drink delivers. The 200mg of natural caffeine from green coffee beans provides clean, steady energy without the crash or jitters I get from some other energy drinks. I also appreciate the added B vitamins and Alpha GPC, which seem to help with focus, great for long workdays, workouts, or late nights when you still need to be sharp. Being zero sugar is a big plus as well. Overall, I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars. It loses one star only because the flavor name sets an expectation it doesn’t fully meet, but judged on its own merits, it’s a solid-tasting, effective energy drink that I’d definitely buy again, especially if you enjoy tropical flavors.

Interesting flavor. Not a true Rootbeer flavor. If you are expecting Mugs or one one of the other main ones, you will be disappointed. The root beer taste is very low key and overpowered by a stronger vanilla flavor. It ends with a bit of the sucralose bitterness as an aftertaste. The caffeine is mainly green coffee beans (200mg). The rest of the energy mix is B vitamins. Did I notice a monster style pump? No, more a general wellness feel. I believe the company needs to back to the drawing board on the flavor. If marketing as Rootbeer, that should at least be overwhelmingly the main flavor. The bitter aftertaste also needs toned down. A good try but needs much improvement. I expected better from the jolt name.

Oh heck yeah this is the old-school Jolt flavor which was darn good but without the old-school Jolt bitter aftertaste. The perfect synergy of Jolt Cola with a good no sugar low carb energy drink of today. I was not expecting it to be thos good, I was expecting a 5 out of 10 but got a 8.5 to 9.5 out of 10. Well done Redcon1 and thank you for giving us the full size cans at a great price while other brands want to push smaller cans on you for the same or more $$ This is my second Redcon1 purchase and they are now going to be my first look over Ghost my old favorites, both Redcon1 flavors have been darn good.

Delicious! I would buy again! However ignore all the reviews saying it tastes just like Baja Blast. Those people clearly have not had baja blast in a while because I went in first sip thinking that's what I would be getting and I thought it was disgusting because of that. When I let that go it was perfectly fine. This flavor is good but to me is not a replica of Baja blast, is closer to pina colada.

I had a lot of high hopes for the new formulation of JOLT, as I am a big fan of all the iterations before it (the original double caffeine/give you a heart attack at 18 formula, the battery cans, the redone recipe from 2018-2020, etc.). After the first can, I felt disheartened because it tasted like a flatter version with not as much of the bite of the cola flavor. However, it redeemed itself in the way that it REFRESHES. It is an excellent drink to have when you're having a meal, because it helps to recover after having something that might be salty or might be a little heavy. After can #3 (not all in one day, mind you), I started realizing that this JOLT is something different than the original: This is a taste that refreshes, not a taste that winds you up. And that's a good thing nowadays. So while it's not like the old, and it doesn't have the bite of the old stuff (hence it would have gone down to 3 stars), the fact that it has a new purpose that is unintentional brings the whole back up to a 4 star.
