It’s a piece of Junk!!
These worked great on the first 1/2 of the metal roofing, than they fell apart, due to the 1/4 minute vibrating, the screws loosened and fell out. I was able to find and put them back in, and got 3/4 of the way through my cut, when the gear completely bound du to screws inside loosening. If it were made much better, it would have worked well, for the first few seconds, I was pleased with the speed, accuracy and ease, but it’s Not worth even trying. I would Never recommend this tool to anyone!!

If you do not have metal cutting experience this tool is not for you
Was skeptical about this with the reviews...but...bought it anyway. I think I see and understand the negative reviews and have some things to add to help clarify. 1st. I used this on metal...22g and it cuts it just fine...the reason I bought it was to cut squares of flooring to use as pads/silencer pads to quiet the steel weights in my test weight carts. I had pictures of me cutting the steel sheets and the flooring (vct or whatever they call that stuff) but can not find the pics this is all i could find. 2nd. The flat outer non knurled wheel is adjustable...it need to be run in and have the same pressure against the other wheel as a pair of tin snips/hedge trimmer blades have against each other. Too loose and you will get the cuts like you see in the pictures posted....too tight and it will bind up and not cut well. 3. Add a bit of oil to the blades to help the disks slide over on another.. remember you are tightening them to one another. 4. Use a variable speed drill on a very very slow speed....the slower I went the better/smoother/straighter my cut was. Don't use an impact driver... 5. Get the angle right on the drill and duct tape a paint stir stick to the back of it to let the stick ride on the metal and it hold your drill at the right angle to you can concentrate on steering and pushing. Plan your direction of cut...this tool operates the same way red and green snips do.....IT IS DIRECTIONAL WITH THE UP AND DOWN PUSH! Do those things and this little tool is a great little cutter. Don't think for a second you are going to use it for a construction tool or industrial use or even to cut all the panels on your new barn roof. But for the occasional cutting and light use this is a good little tool. For 20 bucks don't thing you are going to replace your kettle shears or nibbles or even your red and green wiss snips.

Worked great till it didn’t.
This cutter worked well for a few minutes . Cutting was quick. I found it easier to use this unit with the black handle in one hand and my drill in the other and not attached to the drill with the spring and rod. The battery on my drill was too long and got caught on the metal that I was cutting during long cuts. But the problem with this cutter that destroyed it was the main screw kept loosening which caused the gears to strip . I think it would have lasted much longer if that screw would have been secured in a better way. Loctite or some other thread sealer Oh well. I’m returning it.

Clean cuts even through heavier gauge metal
I took some time before writing a review to make sure this tool stood up to some rigorous testing. I am in the process of remodeling an old home and used this, in conjunction with a metal brake, to wrap window sills and flash around door entrances. This metal cutter attachment took it in stride. Did a fine job cutting some pretty heavy gauge metal. The cut is clean and doesn't leave burrs or nasty splinters. And it has stood up job site abuse... a couple of long distance drops and many hours of use. Once you get the hang of attaching it to your drill, it's very easy to use. I'm happy with it.

Beware of product image and instructions.
If you want to purchase an item that has unclear directions that are numbered to assemble this would be it. Not only does the photo not show other pieces that have to be assembled. They are not in one-size-fits-all. As you can see the earring fell out of the main housing while I was using it. The metal that I was cutting within specifications as to what it could handle. Then the tire piece came out out of the main housing that drives the gears for the cutters. It did nothing but ruined a piece of metal that I was trying to cut. The spring that they do not show in the picture that you have to figure out how to put on shot off during the attempted use. There is also a stabilizer bar that goes from the top of the drill down to the base of your drill, but while you’re holding your drill, the end of the stabilizer bar digs into your palm. I do not recommend this product and have so little faith I am not returning it to get a like one. Requesting the refund this time

Surprisingly Powerful and Precise! I was honestly skeptical at first, but this sheet metal cutter attachment really impressed me. I attached it to my regular cordless drill and was cutting through aluminum and thin steel sheets within minutes. The cuts are clean and precise, much better than using snips or an angle grinder for detailed work. It's very easy to control, even on curves or corners. I used it on white sheet metal, aluminum, and some thin copper sheets — no issues at all. It does produce a bit of metal shavings, so definitely wear eye protection. Overall, this is a fantastic tool for DIYers or even light professional use. Just make sure your drill has enough torque and you'll be amazed how useful this thing is. Highly recommended!

Works well

It’s a piece of poorly made garbage. Won’t cut tin or sheet metal. The gear assembly is so loose the drive gear shoves the cutter wheel which as a gear of center and jams.

Very Satisfied! I’ve used the CZS Sheet Metal Cutter Drill Attachment and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it works. It’s compact, easy to attach to a impact or drill , and cuts through metal smoothly and precisely. The cutting edges are sharp and clean, leaving no rough or bent edges—perfect for professional-looking results. The tool is stable during operation and offers excellent quality for its price. Note: not seller feedback

Got it for a roofing renovation job. For corrugated steel even on the slowest setting it may be a tad too fast cutting, other than that, once set up correctly, it's a great addition for diy use.
