The media could not be loaded. They wash well in dishwasher. Sturdy lid, fit a packet of sliced cheese and a family packet of ham. They stop both going dry. Great solution as I had been using sandwich bags.

I would love to eliminate plastic from all contact with my food. Something that is not possible but reducing the amount of micro plastics I digest seems like a good idea. So these stainless steel containers for my bacon are ideal. Well almost. I like to buy my bacon (and other meat also) from a traditional butcher. If you don't, you should try it, you may find the meat is much better than the rubbish sold in supermarkets. My butcher cuts the bacon nice and thick, so much more taste. The problem with these is with contact with the plastic lid, I can only get six slices in. Just as well they are supplied in pairs. Apart from that, they are really great and if you buy your bacon from a supermarket you could probably get at least 12 or even more slices in them.They seem to me to be a much better alternative to the plastic rubbish most people use.

Keeps everything nice and fresh and easy to wash.

Disappointing as it’s much shallower than I thought, the lid doesn’t give that expulsion of air I expected, will have to wait to see how well it keeps the bacon.

These are the best quality containers I've ever bought.
