These sound great, I have them powered by a 125w rms per channel amp and they sound amazing

Awesome sound
Use mine with a Rockville amp and pre-ampAnd are installed off the ceiling at a bowling alley. The TP-1200s rock. I don't use them for bass I have a couple Gemini 15s in band pass ported boxes with a bridged Gemini amp for lows. However the mid bass and upper end frequencies are very clean. Certain tracks you would swear where live. From an economic standpoint these are awesome as well. In my opinion there's no need to spend more money on something more premium.. My biggest tip is to make sure the signal your sending the pre-amp is the best it can be. Having a higher quality signal makes the most out of the speakers. Otherwise any speaker will just be ok or blah.Wish I'd of got the TP-2400s instead. Only due to the fact I am slightly overpowering the 1200s400 watt RMS from my amp. x 2Nonetheless they rock and worth the money!

MTX TP 1200 Thunder-pro II , NICE VALUE..
With the right Amp these will shine...Bought these due to reviews saying they sounded good musically. I needed a pair of speakers to practice material, repeated recordings, of segments of songs , onto CD's for learning drum solo's , difficult sections etc. Had to have something fairly loud but not too big, so I wouldn't drown them out with drums. Reading info on DJ amps, crazy cheap, with huge , per ch. claims, I noticed "Humm" issues, distortion rates and signal to noise rates which were really lousy. (audible) I decided to try home stereo amps first. I hooked them up to a Yamaha receiver rated 115W per side 8ohm and (4ohm rated)....not pretty,.. amp struggled, MTX's sounded pathetic. I had an old Class A/B, 2 Chan. Rotel Pre and Amp rated at 135 a side in 8ohm., to try as well. Hooked up MTX's and they came alive, and they sounded pretty darn good, clean, loud, perfect , especially at price point, a lot of bang for your buck. DJ's will need a sub, with them, but perfect for my needs, very clean sound at high volumes, musically pleasing. Can't tell on longevity, but build is solid, clean. Post and 1/4" plugs hook-up choice, is a nice as well. Reviews saying they didn't sound great, try changing your amp.. .

Great sound at a reasonable price
I had been looking for some speakers for my shop and was looking at new and used tower speakers. Came across these and immediately purchased 2 of them. Back in my younger day I always had MTX car subs and was always happy. The sound on these is awesome! Im sure they would pound the base a bit more if I fed more power to them, I just have a 100wx2 receiver but for what I need them for they are perfect. I may order a few more

Loud clear
Bought these speaker for my son and of course he loves them. The sound is very good for a $150 speaker. The midrange and highs are great and the lows and midbass have punch. These speakers can definitely fill any room in my house with full rich sound. Don’t expect subwoofer lows but the do play low enough. Great budget pro speakers from a great manufacturer can’t believe they are so low priced.

Great speakers!
For the price point they are great! They have good bass and highs. If you try to drive a ton of bass through them they will distort but if you tune them right, you will have a great sounding system without the need of a sub. These things can get loud! I have 2 of them in my garage and they can get so loud you can’t actually be in the garage because they hurt your ears and they do that without distorting. If you are looking at these speakers I say buy them you can’t beat the quality for the price.
