Great tv. Very nice picture. Very thin frame on size of picture. Switching from tv to game or other device is great. And very easy. I will buy another when im ready.

Just bought Roku TV and returned it, this TCL was worth the extra 20 bucks. Way better picture and sound. More options for settings. I can screen mirror with my iPhone.. and my PlayStation games look amazing

I just picked up this TCL 40-Inch Class S3 1080p LED Smart TV with Fire TV on Amazon, and I have to say—I'm blown away for the price I paid. It was ridiculously inexpensive (seriously, one of the best deals I've seen for a brand-new smart TV), and it punches way above its weight class. The picture quality is fantastic for 1080p—sharp, clear, and vibrant colors that make everything from Netflix shows to sports look great. No complaints about clarity or detail; it's bright enough for my room during the day and handles dark scenes surprisingly well for an LED panel in this price range. Setup was a breeze. What really seals the deal is the built-in Fire TV interface. It's super intuitive, loads apps quickly (Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, etc.), and having Alexa built-in is terrific—I can just use voice commands to search for shows, control volume, or even dim the lights if I have smart bulbs. No need for extra streaming sticks or remotes cluttering things up. Streaming feels smooth with no lag, and accessing over a million movies and episodes is effortless. For a bedroom, guest room, kitchen, or even as a secondary TV in the living room, this thing is perfect. Nice picture.. good TV… I just don’t like the remote. Needs to be bigger, detailed labeling and easier to see for us older seniors.

This is our new fire tv, our old one in the basement get soooo many free channels through the antenna. This newer model DOESN'T, it gets 0 ZERO channels , so we bought an extra digital antenna. Now we can get 29 channels, unsure why this tv won't get the hundreds of channels our other fire tv gets even when we installed an antenna. VERY DISAPPOINTING in that aspect. The good news is for a small bedroom the picture and sound quality are good especially the frame rate for animated/ anime shows. I don't even need a sound bar and my hearing isnt very good. UPDATE Used the tv about 10 times the sound randomly dosent work, so I have to unplug the tv and restart it. Also it constantly boots me out of netflix. I am watching a show and it exists back to Netflix catalog. I dont have this problem with the basement fire tv. Not sure why this tv is so awful I should get good reception in a major city Philly area. UPDATE Definitely returning, THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST TV I HAVE EVER OWNED. If you are watching a show and leave to do a short task like bathroom break,short phone call , or make food, THE TV SHUTS ITSELF OFF. Yup, you have to turn it all back on go into app to get your show EVERY TIME. There is no setting to circumvent this terrible feature. I have read there is a way to hack a TV but why isnt there just an option in the menu to turn off this feature no one wants. UPDATE bought the same tv only with GOOGLE TV installed in it. Way easier to set up and start watching. Also has a hundreds of free local channels. Really anything you can think of , from cowboy, to history, news, music, nature, religion, horror, kids, animation, cultural, weight lifting, racing.... LOTS

Zero Star...started dying before 2 years of light usage. The backlight LED started to shutoff when watching. It would come on if I cycled the on/off button, only limited times. Now, totally dead backlight. Correction: I Discover and fixed the problem. The power cord leads were slightly corroded from being used on the porch. I used sandpaper to clean the power cord leads and all works great again.

So far this 32" 1080P TV works perfect as a smart TV and as a second monitor for my PC (its the one on the left). I used a monitor arm to mount it and have it a bit higher than my main monitor. The sound is a bit lacking, but for just movies and TV, its is fine. The included and available applications with the FIRE TV interface are plenty as well as some live TV channel choices. Fallout on Prime is great, go watch it, its awesome, Ill wait..... Right? Great show, back to the review. The pixel density works in almost every case, I would not game on this TV as I'm used to a high refresh rate and almost no latency, but I did try and it was not what this TV was intended for. If you are on an older gen console, this would work. 60hz just isn't what it used to be, but for viewing online content, streaming shows or movies, it is plenty fast and has around 4GB of onboard memory for all your applications.

Works so well I purchased this 2nd one for our guest bedroom.
