Cut price but full spec.... See my video for full details
The media could not be loaded. Please see my video review for a hand-on experience of this tablet.Let's be clear this is a generic unbranded tablet but has all the basic functionality you would need. The Google play store works fine so you have access to all the apps you would need. The ability to add a sim card is mind-blowing at this price. The 8,000 milliamp battery seems okay but in practice I saw this discharge in quicker than my Samsung tablet, not a big deal though. In summary and 160 pounds RRP this tablet appears to be an absolute bargain, it can even be purchased with a small discount taking it to just 140 pounds. This appears to be fast, has a reasonable screen and decent speakers... given the low price I really have nothing negative to say about this product

Tech's No Tech Review!
Yeah, don't be looking for technical details from me, not qualified to express such information. What I do know is the difference between good and bad, and judging this fine tablet on the basis that it's aimed at the budget market, find it very good for the asking price. My wife is far techier than me (it really is only a profile name!), and uses an iPad daily, so I gave the job to her to identify differences of any kind. She put the iPad away for a couple of weeks to exclusively use this tablet. The results have been pretty positive, the Apple model only better in a few instances - She found the sound on the Vasoun model a little thin and trebly, but this is equalised through an external speaker -She found the screen an odd size at first, but got used to it quickly - She felt she would be over-picky in looking for further issues, to be honest, it practically does all the iPad does. Is fast, takes good quality pictures, takes a good charge, and with a sim card can be used as a phone (stick that, Apple!).Including a case was a nice touch (perhaps because of the unusual size), even though it's fairly insubstantial, but it's the thought that counts. It is generally robust, easy to operate. light, has fair storage capacity (can always be boosted externally), and in a budget market, represents very good value! Thanks, Mrs Tech!

Tablet
Very low quality tablet.Generic item. Branding is just a sticker on an unbranded box.Details imply it is 16gb but it is actually only 8gb.Instructions are totally inadequate.Screen is poor.Vastly overpriced.

Okay at best
I quite fancied an Android tablet after being a long time iPad user, but I did not want to spend the vast amounts of money that Samsung want for their iPad equivalents. Now, this Vasoun tablet appeared so I grabbed it, knowing full well it was never going to match Apple's or Samsung's offerings, but I was more than willing to give this a shot.It arrived all safe and sound, and on opening there was a distinct "plastic" smell coming from within. This didn't bode well, but, it turned out to the supplied case that comes with the tablet. The case is flimsy, and is one of those ones that folds over to form a stand for the tablet, except it is so weak that it barely even does that. The case is so bad that, at best, the only protection is offers is against very minor scratches from baby birds...The tablet also has a pre-installed screen protector, this is a brilliant idea, and more company's need to do this, HOWEVER, there was some sort of debris on the screen when the screen protector was applied, so this ruins the look somewhat. The tablet is really thin, but doesn't look feel like it will snap in a strong wind, however, I think it will be easily damaged if you throw it into your bag with other stuff. It was very easy to set the tablet up and do my updates, migrate apps, and sign in to a number of apps I use on other devices. I was happy that it had full access to the Play store, but even if it didn't it's very easy to sideload anyway. The screen is not the best, it falls into a very distant last place when stacked up against my other screened devices. It is serviceable and responsive, but don't expect faithful colour reproduction on your photos or on movies and TV, or expect low latency when gaming. Speaking of photos, the built in cameras are poor, but again, serviceable, and to be expected. It was never going to have the camera arrays of other high end tablets or even match the software behind those cameras. This is a low end tablet, I would say it was entry level at best, and false economy at worse, your money is best spent elsewhere...

A surprisingly well-built tab and one that performs really well
Though we weren't expecting much from this tab, we've been pleasantly surprised at how good this actually is.First off, it's sized well, looks good, and is extremely comfortable to hold and use. The addition of that cover which then turns into a stand is also much appreciated. This took just a few minutes to set up and was done so with ease.Performance wise, my hubby hasn't complained one bit about it. He uses the tab mainly for watching videos on, as he's learning to code right now, and finds it all just so helpful to have the tab to hand. The sound quality is fine, as too is the brightness, and the battery life is good.I really don't think there's anything we can find fault with it. The price justifys the good quality of this and I don't think its primarily just an entry level tab, rather a good choice of tab for those looking for something to last long but also rival some of the other pricier brands in terms of performance.More than happy to recommend this one.
