Great little DAC
A fantastic little DAC and I would recommend it if you are looking for a simple, but effective DAC. The sound is perfectly fine for casual, no fuss use. The bluetooth connection is reliable and clear.

Would recommend as a means to improve clarity and bypass TV audio compression
Would definitely recommend, currently using it as a dac to bridge my Aiyima A07 Max to my tv. Has great connectivity, I personally use the optical input, and rca output into the amplifier and the sound quality is great. I also use my Audio Technica turntable on the Bluetooth input option, which seems to work great also. The HDMI arc function works great as merely an input option but, as specified in the product description, does not allow for volume adjustment, so I personally wouldn't but this if you want to purchase this amplifier for HDMI arc functionality, with regards to narrowing your tv hifi system to one remote . Where it shines is if it is used via Optical, USB or Coaxial input, with PCM turned on to bypass your tv's internal dac and audio compression.

A surprisingly decent little DAC
Bought this to take the HDMI ARC output of a Samsung TV and provide an analogue output into a pair of active speakers. This it achieves very well, and the sound is more than sufficient to improve dramatically the audio (as compared to the built-in speakers). Granted, the build quality is plasticky and - when controlled by the TV's ARC - we occasionally hear a Chinese voice telling us something when we change volume (maybe telling us we're at maximum output?) in practice it's a small minor thing and I deliberated whether I should drop a star or not. I have done, since I can see that voice annoying some people, but I had to call it out. Note that it can support more than one inputs via an input switching button on front, and also note that in itself it doesn't have a remote, so if you want to switch between those inputs you'll have to get up off your seat. As HDMI ARC allows the TV remote to adjust the output volume, we find it fine for general TV purposes, and the sound - as mentioned - is a vast improvement over the built-in speakers or the soundbar we had before.

A Clever Piece of Kit
I've used this unit to successfully convert an an optical (digital) signal to analogue. This allows a modern TV to connect to an legacy stereo system, and create a hybrid "surround sound" solution in the living room. On a budget this is much more economical than a fully-fledged HiFi unit, and still gives much improved sound coverage. From experience, the unit doesn't get hot from hours of use pleasingly. No issues with audio quality, which remains crystal clear. Volume can still be independently controlled via the stereo itself. Overall for a basic budget friendly DAC which is fully functional, I highly recommend this.

S.M.S.L PS100.
This works very good. Does what it says good. The Bluetooth connection sounds good for Bluetooth. All connections work fine. Got an old Denon system, and can get Bluetooth and picture to work no problem. I can't see volume control, but it may have it. No remote in my box. Easy to set up. Sounds good actually. Make sure you have an old USB charger, as one doesn't get supplied. I use old Samsung charger, and works perfectly.

Useless
After hours of faffing about using both optical and hdmi it would not turn on no power useless

New Life to my "Classic" set up
I bought an A&R Cambridge amp from the 80s and a couple of bookshelf speakers for my studio office. I wanted to be able to stream music either from my laptop or bluetooth. This worked as a charm. Super economic and lots of connectivity. And music sounds pretty good to me in my environment. I would recommend it. I did this a couple of years ago and still don't see the need to replace it.

Magic
This is amazing little dac, functionally. I have it connected to my smart TV through HDMI Arc and PS100 goes into my CD/amplifier combo to use my passive speakers. I have it powered through USB slot on my extension socket tower. This way I can use my passive speakers with my TV, or stream music through smartphone/laptop via Bluetooth. My LG TV recognise this instantly if I keep it in HDMI mode. I would love to see a version of this with another USB as a source of music (one and only is used to power up the device), and with better build quality. Once you connect all the cables you realise how light and how cheaply is this made.
