Had to return it (twice)
Was getting intermittent errors, files going missing, corruption, running chkdsk showed much corruption. Things got off to a rocky start when fakeflash struggled to run and h2testw reported small errors, full capacity but MB here and there of corrupted data. After reformatting, things seem to work ok, with testing passed. But within a few days the problems occurred again. I just can't trust my data with this thing, so back it goes. Hopefully a replacement will be fine.Edit: No it isn't, also fails h2testw with data corruption:Warning: Only 64 of 239991 MByte tested. The media is likely to be defective.22.1 MByte OK (45312 sectors)41.8 MByte DATA LOST (85760 sectors)Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)41.8 MByte corrupted (85760 sectors)0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)First error at offset: 0x0000000000e80008Expected: 0x00e800000d980011Found: 0x02e8000025980011H2testw version 1.3Reading speed: 30.0 MByte/sH2testw v1.4NB. I have to report that the capacity for this is rather misleading, it is NOT 256GB, more like 251, which with formatting will give you 234, when it should be at least 240, going by how much other devices give you. Also, write speeds are very start/stop, maybe there is a fast but very small cache that quickly fills up, needed to be paged out before continuing, as such speeds will start excellent, drop off to poor, then stabilise to a decent 20-30 MB/s with h2testw. Read speeds are as expected at 70-90 MB/s.First one sent:Warning: Only 239990 of 239991 MByte tested. The media is likely to be defective.234.3 GByte OK (491380544 sectors)58.0 MByte DATA LOST (118976 sectors)Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)58.0 MByte corrupted (118976 sectors)0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)First error at offset: 0x0000000000e20000Expected: 0x0000000000e20000Found: 0x3a0b9d7bbdb100a1H2testw version 1.3Reading speed: 97.1 MByte/sH2testw v1.4

A little bit slower than expected .
Just spent a happy 5 hours and 6 minutes testing this drive to make sure it's genuine .Thankfully it is :-)Write/verify speeds are a little off the mark though .exFAT formatListing states writing speed 6.5 MB/s , I got 4.27 MB/s .Listing states reading speed 28 MB/s , I got 13.8 MB/s .It writes/reads about 10% slower using NTFSMy old Intenso 32GB , which I bought many years ago , get's 10.845 GB/s write and 22.893 GB/s read .So much for progress .

Avoid even if its the world's only flash drive, run while you can!
So, thanks to its competitive prices I bought 5 of these 256 GB version. Copied some 30GB of files over, with files as small as 1kB and those as large as 1GB. All done, all fine, until I inserted it on another PC, when Windows said I should scan the drive for error, and fixed some errors. Then, half of my files were either corrupted or unrecognizable. Reformatted the whole drive and redone everything, problem persisted. Now I have opened the third one, same problem. Not even bothered to try the other two. Unless I am the unluckiest person in the world, getting 3 problematic ones in a row, I would like to advice you, my friend, save your time and money, consider other brands, please.

Awful performance, USB 3.0 but painfully slow write speeds
This USB drive seems as though it should be good value for money but unfortunately it's too frustrating to use due to slow transfer speeds (I was getting speeds of around 25mbps when transferring a file from my internal SSD to to this Intenso drive). It's cheap and also gets very warm in use, much better off just paying the extra and getting a SanDisk rather than buying this terrible drive.

Corrupts data!
I used this product to use as temporary storage whilst my hard drive was full as this is meant to be 256gb. It managed to copy the data without issue and I double checked. But when I went to copy it over a few days late, the files were corrupt and couldn't be open! I've now lost all my data and tried to run diagnostics on the error but windows couldn't fix it. If you value your data, avoid this product!
