These were super easy to install. They don’t need to be placed into a beam. Took probably 20 minutes to install, if that. This looked great in our guest bathroom and half bath, for such a great price. The quality is good, we didnt feel like it was going to break when inserting the nails. It has a strong weight capacity. The color is exactly as described. If you want an easy way to elevate a bathroom, I highly suggest getting this.

When ordering these I expected not to get a high quality item given the price, but somehow the quality was lower than I could have every imagined. Initial impressions were not good - the top shelf came crushed in a couple of places (although there was no damage to the box in these places - there was other damage to the box but I'm wondering if the shelf was shipped damaged). Since the damage was to the back part of the shelf I went ahead and decided to install. The shelf itself is hollow so it's basically just mdf around some type of lightweight structure. The finish also easily marks with fingerprints. Once installed, the shelf was mostly straight but there was a gap between the shelf and the wall (not sure if it was the wall or the shelf on this). The big issue is that as soon as I put anything on the shelf - in this case, a couple of vinyl LPs with plastic stands - the shelf leans forward considerably. So, outside of putting something on these shelves that's styrofoam light, the shelf will lean obviously forward which is unacceptable and looks like garbage to boot. It's a nice idea that's ruined by extremely poor execution.

These shelves work, but they do not exceed any expectations. Installation is easy, but the nature in which the mounting hardware is created means that it is near impossible to get them level with each other. As you tighten the screws on each side the shelf hardware bends, creating an uneven mount. Also, the tolerances are not very tight so when putting even slightly heavy objects onto them they will lean and shift. You get what you pay for.
