Shore Magic was recommended to me by my Functional Medicine MD. I’ve had it as a subscription for two years now. I enjoy it in the mornings with my coffee and wouldn’t be without it.

This is my go-to collagen powder and I’ve repurchased it because it works so well. It blends easily into smoothies and drinks without changing the taste or texture, which makes it really simple to use every day. I love that it’s marine-based and includes multiple types of collagen. I’ve noticed improvements in my hair and nails, and I also like knowing I’m supporting my skin and joints as well. It doesn’t upset my stomach and dissolves smoothly with no grit.The quality feels premium, the packaging is nice, and it’s great for anyone who wants an easy, clean collagen to add to their routine. This powder has a different texture than most of the other collagens I've tried. Its very flaky and lightweight. It mixes super easily and is tasteless in hot drinks, which I love. No clumping at all. But what I love most about this is that it is regularly tested for heavy metals, which are a real concern with collagen. I wish they posted the batch results on their website for better transparency because I know some companies that test still have high levels of heavy metals, but just hide the results. For those of us that drink a lot of collagen, though, keeping heavy metals super low is high priority. I like this enough that I will order it again, even though its expensive, just because it seems like a great source of a variety of collagen types. Most collagen from beef or chicken only contains type I and III, but I can tell a better difference in my skin and joints when I use a wider variety like this. I also like that this mixes so easily and is a lightweight option which are both great for ease of use at work or when traveling.

Disappointed to discover this powder has a very “collagen” taste, a gooey mouth feel and doesn’t blend well.

I don't know very much about collagen, other than I try to take it when I don't have to pay too much. I just think that since our skin is the largest organ in our bodies we should pay more attention to it— and collagen is important to skin. I don't even have any way of knowing if it's doing any good to take it. For all I know, it doesn't even transfer from your digestive system to your skin. I just don't know. But I take it anyway. This product does say it has Type I II III and IV. It means absolutely nothing to me. I guess I should read up about that. Okay, I quickly read up about it and I still don't know what it means. So why am I writing this review when I know nothing? Well, I am impressed that this collagen is sourced from fish skins and that they do extensive testing for heavy metals. We all know that nutrients sourced from fish are very good, so I think it's probably important to alternate the source of collagen that you are taking. You still won't know if it's actually doing anything, but most of it seems to come from bovine skin. That's a scientific way of saying cowhide. I've had to process a cowhide once, and in order to tan it, you have to scrape all of this spongy soft interior off of the actual hide first. Ancient people used to make special stone tools for doing this one very important job. Little did they know that they could have gone into the caveman collagen business, because that is where "bovine-sourced" collagen comes from. Sorry this was so long, but I just don't know much about collagen, so I tried to do the best I could. Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to nourish your skin.

Collagen is one of the most-studied of all supplements and I suggest you read a few of those studies before trying. At first I was hesitant to try this marine-derived collagen because of its' granular consistently. I wrongly assumed that it would not dissolve well in my morning cup of coffee or might make it taste fishy. Thankfully, it did neither. Dissolves quickly and, although I smelled a tiny whiff of ocean when I opened it, it did not make a discernible difference in my coffee's taste or appearance. This is expensive collagen. But if you visit their website, you'll see why. It's all about quality and trying to avoid collagen from marine life that lives in contaminated waters. I have used collagen for a while now and can honestly say it is one of the few things I've added to my regime where I can see a NOTICEABLE difference. Some say collagen replacement is the secret to youth and longevity. Perhaps. This is collagen for people who are serious about looking better and getting rid of some of their joint pain. It works!

Is it spouse to smell and tast like a dead animal???? Just got it yesterday this morning I drank it with my coffee and when I opened the bag it smells like dead something....the tast also the same not that strong as the smell but for sure I felt the tast. Maybe it's not good? Expired?
