Great for tele on wall
These Gripit heavy duty plasterboard plugs are excellent. They feel very sturdy and hold extremely well, even with heavier items. Installation was straightforward and the fixings gave me a lot of confidence once in place. They’re ideal for mounting things securely on plasterboard where standard plugs just aren’t strong enough. Good quality, reliable, and definitely worth the price. I’d happily use these again and would recommend them to anyone needing strong plasterboard fixings.

Perfect for Mounting TV on Plasterboard Wall
Excellent! Very easy to use, and much stronger than traditional plugs. Perfect for mounting a tv to plasterboard.

Brilliant product
Used these for a TV bracket onto a hollow wall. Brilliant. Easy to install, one tip I would give is as per the instructions it says make sure the arrow on the white plastic is in the correct position. It's hard to see but if you rub your finger round it you will feel it then just rub a pencil over it and your good to go

Great product, but take time with the prep!
This is an excellent product where you are looking to hang something from plasterboard/gypsum drywall. I used them to hang a pair of computer monitors, that were on wall mounted arms. I would urge some caution if you have never used these before. A couple of things to be aware of… If you don’t have a 25mm circular cutout bit for your drill, I’d recommend getting it (you’ll see one available as an add on purchase) - I only had a 22mm cutout bit and had to do some careful adjustment to get the plugs to fit. If you’re going to fit this to drywall board that has foam behind it, I’d recommend you make sure the foam behind is clear from the path of the metal wings that will pop out. If you don’t, the wings might not move out and you lose the backing grip that is the whole reason for these fixings. Or you’ll have to be really careful extracting it. I would also carefully try testing each one, prior to installing into the drywall. I found a couple of mine seemed to stick, again you don’t want to discover the twist mechanism sticking when it’s in the wall. The ‘slots’ used to turn the mechanism are plastic, so if you try to force it, and it’s not moving, you’ll damage it, at that stage you’re going to want to replace it. Finally, the threads on the fixing, being plastic, take it handy screwing in the supplied screws.. you want to be a little bit more than finger tight. Go too heavy, and you’ve wrecked the thread. (If it had a metal thread, that would be a great upgrade to the product).

Great fixings
These dry wall fixings are brilliant. Just put some electric 3 column radiators up used these so far so good worked a treat. It's a large hole for the fixing so a definite measure twice job.

Disappointed at first but did the job fantastically
To be honest I was quite disappointed in these, they only go to a depth maximum 15mm. Also you need a 10mm flat head tip to twist the insert so the wings go out fully out. Which does not say on the packet for instructions. Inserts, without knowing that the plaster board and new plaster was thicker than 15mm that they go to, when I drilled out the 25mm hole and knocked in the plug when you twist the insert it would not twist got jammed the plastic started to break when trying to twist it back so had to drill out to remove insert. To rectify the issue had to remove 2mm of plaster so the insert could twist. Yes they are good when fitted and held my tv to the wall really well. Just it took a lot longer than expected of time and wasted a good insert.

Strong
We used these in our house which is mostly plasterboard walls, but we wanted to mount things like TV brackets etc. They are easy to fit, but you need a 25mm hole saw to make a good quality hole of the right size. Don't skimp on that, or you may compromise the strength rating of these fittings. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully. We've mounted 3 TV brackets with these, including one for a 50 inch TV, just on plasterboard. They feel robust, and (so far) nothing has fallen. One thing to be aware of is that they come with M8 (8mm) bolts which are not interchangeable. I had to make a slight adjustment to one of the TV brackets because the holes in that bracket were not wide enough to fit the bolts, but as long as you have an 8mm HSS drill bit to enlarge any holes, you should be fine (a pillar drill is also useful as it makes it easier to hold the TV bracket securely). This isn't a fault with the fittings, just something to be aware of - they're not like Rawlplugs where you can use your own screws with them - you have to use the bolts which come with the fittings (or other 8mm bolts) Note that they are only for fitting to walls - not ceilings! Their design means they hold their maximum load as shear load, not plain tension as you'd get with hanging from a ceiling. (This is a reason they are 25mm wide - to avoid cutting downwards through the plasterboard).

Hervorragend... Hält was es verspricht. Gefällt mir sehr gut. Mit Abstand das beste für schwere Sachen an Trockenbauwänden.

I needed a heavy duty drywall anchor that would work on Insulated Concrete Form walls. The drywall in an ICF house mounts directly onto three inches of styrofoam, so there is no cavity behind the plasterboard. Most heavy duty anchors require a fairly deep cavity to work properly, these do not. After drilling the one inch hole (about half an inch into the foam), I used a small pick to remove some more of the foam in the spot where the anchor wings will spread, and Bingo! worked like a charm.
