Good reference book for those contemplating or starting their own business as a caterer.There are no color photographs and there are very few actual pictures and illustrations in the book. I am slightly dissapointed in the book for that reason because I was hoping for pictures of room staging, table scapes and decorating props.The book offers comprehensive information and references to further one's knowledge of developing a business plan to building a successful catering operation.

Good but should include some pictures since it’s really wordy

If you are serious about starting a catering business this is the only book you will need to guide you through the process. Catering is not an easy business and it may be years before you see any serious return on you efforts, this book will show you why and at very least help you decide if this business is for you. "Handbook" makes it sound much less than it is, as 1 reviewer stated its more like an encyclopedia well worth the investment.

This book reminds me of the work i have been loving for the past 20 years. Catering. I have fine tuned my business in many ways because of what I have followed from this volume.

Love this book. It explains all aspects of working in a restaurant/catering industry. It details set up, sizing, forms. Came with a disc with forms. It's a great reference book, purchased several years ago. It's my go to book.

Lots of good information on starting, sustaining and running a professionel kitchen.Lots of behind the scene information and tips.

This book is very informative and has me rethinking the game plan in order to improve the business my partner and I have been trying to build.

Geee I wish I had my money back. This book is so dated and in need of revision that I would recommend that you wait on the new edition. Very boring presentation of some very dry material in a very boring wrapper......yawnnnn goin' to bed.
