Columbia mens Snow Gun Pant

Size fit info: I normally wear a 36" x 36". I got the large. It's an acceptable fit. Not too long, not too short. Anything beyond 36" inseam though is going to be too short. If you're a 34" - 36" inseam, don't worry, they will fit ok. Again,I normally wear a 36" X 36" and they fit me like a glove, except in the waist, which is a little big. But no problem theres belt loopholes. The waist is a true 38" or so so if your size is a 35"-38" X 34"-36" inseam, the large will fit. Essentially, the "true" size of the large is "38" X "34.5". If your inseam is 36" like mine is it will fit ok and won't be too short. I wish they had a tall version but for some reason it's almost perfect for me because I get a sharp, tight fit out of the 34.5" inseam which makes it look good for metropolitan areas. I can't say enough good things about these pants. The first pair was so nice, I ended up getting 2 more. I bought them to supplement the bugaboo pants, but the design is so good for what I was looking for that they've become my main winter pants. When I first took them out of the box, I was disappointed. The material looked cheap and flimsy. Like paper quality plastic wrap. Then I actually started wearing them around my city in the rain. They're super comfortable and warm. In moderate to heavy rain, nothing gets in. They look attractive and have an attractive look to them. The thinner material is actually perfect for cities like mine where it's windy and rains a lot. They are probably not the best option for strenuous sports like skiing and snowboarding. The stress would probably rip the fabric. But if you want to shovel snow, go out for a walk, or go to the store when it's raining or wet, etc. they make great fall/winter pants for that. Like I said, I live in a city where it is always raining, and I wear them around town. They're very comfortable and warm. I definitely recommend these if you are looking for casual fall/winter rain/snow pants. I had them in pouring moderate to severe rain wearing them consistently in it for over 2 hours. No rain got through. In snow they'll be fine. But if you're planning to leap around in the snow and snow dive, etc. it might not be the best option. Something thicker would be better. These seem to be more for regular social activities where you are doing light activities.

These are EXACTLY what I wanted them to be. I ordered them for attending outdoor sporting events. I wanted something that was windproof and warm. I haven't had the opportunity to see if they are weather proof as well but will soon. I did not want the gainers at the bottom, and these do not have that. I'm not sure how well they would do in heavy snow, but again, not what I ordered them to do. They were very warm (40 degree night, was almost too warm). The pockets are placed perfectly. placing items in them does not make the pants bulky at all, yet it is easy to secure wallet, phone, keys, etc. If I had one complaint, the velcro on the butt pockets is nearly impossible to get open one handed....but again, that just makes the items in the pocket all the more secure. Overall, these couldn't be better. light weight but very warm. Fit as expected (I wear a 36x34 pant and the XL were perfect). If you are shorter than a 34 length, they may be a bit long. Great buy. Very pleased.

I like the snowpants, they're warm and waterproof so that's all I needed really. One thing I wish it has though was some sort of elastic system or velcro system on the ankles. If I wear my beefy diesel snow boots, they're fine because they slide right over them and they're good. But if I wear my smaller hightop style winter boots, the ankle area is loose. Air can blow up them, you can't tighten them to the leg/boot area for keeping in warmth or keeping out snow. So I will just use these with the beefy boots and count the price as a trade off for missing something for the ankles.

They are waterproof, worn them out in the snow, sledding. They are warm and fit well.

For pants advertised as snow pants id expect them to have gators to keep the snow out at the bottom, especially at this price point. Pretty lame and a feature I think is required for good snow pants. Another feature that I wish they had were zipper pockets, they are fairly secure feeling and decently deep, I just like the extra protection of a zipper. Otherwise, I don't think they are too baggy like other reviews complained about and they feel very nice and keep you warm, average over pants.

I’m 6ft 207 lb. the length of the pants is very good. When barefoot they get all the way to the floor so with boots they will be great. On the waist they are super comfortable with room to grow and with elastic belts on the sides it can be tightened. Please note that these are not for skiing. These pants are for walking in snow or in cold. They are padded inside and will do a good job. BUT - the side pockets are open and cannot be closed with a zipper so snow will go in if you fall while skiing. Also there are no rubber bands at the bottom so they pants are very wide all the way down. Pity because some reviewers say they are good for ski. THEY ARE GREAT BUT NOT SUITABLE FOR SKIING.

Excellent product, well made

Bought before ski trip in NZ. Did 5 days straight and they held up fine. Padded enough and they keep you warm and dry.

My husband loved these so much I bought a pair for our adult son. He thinks they're excellent too. Very warm and comfortable. Well worth it.
