Love this drive! I should have format it using my Apple devices but it has no problems with Android. I bought this after browsing over a few gamer’s reviews because I don’t trust many drive storage companies. I used to think they were top tier, so I would only use Sandisk until they started dying on me randomly. I won’t dare buy anything from that company again. I wish this company made larger ssd drives with more than just 2 tb. I’m already a fan.

I got this as a replacement for my PS4 Pro when the original HDD finally crashed after 6 years.Games load MUCH faster and the "Now Loading" screens hardly even pop up. The difference was night and day. Even the overall system menus and such, which I'd gotten used to lagging over time, are noticeably faster.Loading the OS onto the disk was also very easy (PS website gives instructions that are incredibly simple).I wish I'd done this upgrade years ago, and my only regret now is that I got 1 TB instead of 2 TB like I'd been considering. Maybe I still will.This product was very cost-effective, and I was able to get it the very same day I ordered it. Those were the primary reasons for this specific purchase, since I wasn't entirely sure if the disk was the issue, and this was the quickest to deliver per lowest price overall.I'd recommend this for anyone considering swapping out their old HDD, and this particular brand absolutely delivers! If I do go with the 2 TB drive, it'll be this brand I buy from.

This is really a 3.5 star overall review, but decided to round up because second attempt worked. Just some quick background information, I build and repair my own devices. I have done so for almost 20 years. I can assemble a gaming tower in my sleep. I'd like to think I'm fairly competent at building rigs. Good thing too, because I had problems.The first drive ordered came from Phoenix, AZ and didn't even register at all in Windows10. Not the initial USB test, and not after the hard install. Thankfully, Amazon sent a replacement before I could even return the first. Second drive came from Baltimore, MD. That failed the external USB test, but registered after the hard install. Just one problem, it wasn't showing in Windows but I could see it in DOS. That meant a conflict somewhere. Sure enough, I had to manually assign a drive letter in Disk Management.Did that, boom, problem solved. I doubled my storage space to help alleviate my primary Samsung SSD drive. I suppose you get what you pay for in this case, but the value is good and is about comparable to the Samsung drive of same size for much less. I hope my experience helps you with your troubleshooting issues if you're in need of a secondary drive.UPDATE: Now almost six months later, this drive became my internal storage. No issues whatsoever and still just as zippy as the day I bought it. I'll give back the half star I knocked off earlier.

I was having issues with my original ps4 hardrive like crashing, freezing, corrupted files and in general slow performance. I ordered this as a budget because I said its better than nothing as long as it solves my old hard drive problems and it did. This hard drive solved all my problems once I installed it I felt the difference right away, my ps4 feels like new.How to set it up on PS4:1. Look up a tutorial on how to set up a new hard drive (doesn’t have to be a video specifically on this one)2. First of all you’re going to take out your old ps4 hard drive tray and unscrew it, insert the new one and put it in and make sure its facing the right way and that its screwed on the holes on the sides.3. Make sure you have a flash drive of at least 2 GB, if you don’t have one make shre to buy one with this hard drive.4. On google search up ps4 hard drive reinstallation and follow the instructions5. After downloading everything into your hard drive files plug it into your ps46. Make sure your ps4 is completely shut off and hold the ps4 power button until it beeps a second time let it go and it should go on safe mode.7. Press reinstall and all the latest ps4 softwar from the flash drive should copy and your set.

Bought addlink S20 2.5 ssd ,for my ps4 pro and it works awesome, and what a difference between old drive and this one.was easy to install and I added firmware of ps4 .it drastically improved overall console performance.
