Best poacher ever!
Best Egg Poacher Ever! Great quality, easy to use and easy to clean. I have a glass cooktop and it works fine. We just had Eggs Benedict for breakfast and will be making egg bites later today for workday meals.

A+ egg poacher!
After a half-century creating culinary masterpieces and almost as many equally impressively terrible dishes, I learned long ago that single-purpose cookware is almost always a waste of money. The ‘hot doggers.’ The mini-waffle makers. The “As-seen-on-TV” rotisseries. And the Make-a-bacon-basket-in-your-microwave and other contraptions. The most notable and fun were gifted from loved ones at Christmas and birthdays, and we’re grateful they even thought of us. But their novelty wore out quickly and just took up valuable kitchen and pantry space. But sometimes we actually need single-purpose cookware to do a fundamental job right every time. A good egg poacher is one. I’ve been poaching ‘the hard way,’ making tornados, for decades, but frankly, the technique has become such a pain in the neck because I can only do one egg at a time (impractical when entertaining) and my success rate isn’t high. Dedicated egg poachers like this product save so much hassle and have close to perfect results every time. Too, they can be used to hardboil without the tedious task of ice baths and de-shelling afterward. So I purchased the Eggssentials 6-egg poacher. Go big or go home, right? It’s very well made. The pan base is substantial weight, like better cookware is. The clear glass lid is vented (and tempered?). The insert is lighter weight and has non-sharp edges. The cups are big enough for my jumbo and extra-large eggs, and because they’re almost semi-spherically shaped, so the heavy egg yolks center in the middle of the white every time. I debuted the Eggssentials on a half dozen fresh extra-large eggs. I don’t like ‘cooking spray,’ so just used three drops of Grazo ‘Sizzling’ EVOO to grease all 6 cups with my finger. Then, I drained off each egg’s thin fluid using a fine mesh sieve, and plopped the egg into a ramekin. It’s important to do seive, because the fluid is superfluous and WILL impact your results. I seasoned and swirled each egg around to distribute the spices, and dropped it into a pan cup. Once the cups were filled and my pan’s water was solidly simmering, I inserted the insert, poached for 5 minutes under the lid, and checked. Several eggs weren’t as done as others, and it was because I hadn’t seived enough of their fluid off. So I let the entire rack poach for another minute. My eggs turned out almost great, but the well-drained eggs were more done than the watery ones. Next time, I’ll use a less-fine mesh to drain every egg better and equally beforehand Cleanup was trivial, and I hand-washed every part with a soft scrubber even though I have a great dishwasher. That said, I know this Eggssentials pan is a winner!

Excellent Quality
I never write product reviews, ever, but this one genuinely deserves it. I make poached eggs at least every other day, and now it’s fortunately become more of a daily habit. This poacher is incredibly consistent: I set a four‑minute timer, and the eggs come out perfect every time. I didn’t compare it to other poachers, but the quality is obvious. It doesn’t feel flimsy at all. In fact, this morning I moved it on the stove and thought I’d forgotten to empty the water because of the weight, turns out it was just the product itself. Solid build, great performance. It may be a little more than others, but it's worth a few extra dollars.

High-Quality, Easy-to-Use Poached Egg Pan
I’m very happy with the Eggssentials Poached Egg Maker, Stainless Steel Egg Poaching Pan. The pan itself feels very good quality and well made, and I really like the size — it’s similar to a smaller sauté pan, which makes it easy to store and comfortable to use on the stovetop. The glass lid is a big plus, allowing you to monitor the eggs without lifting the lid. Poaching eggs with this pan is simple and consistent. My eggs are usually perfectly done in about 4½ to 5 minutes, which makes breakfast quick and stress-free. The four removable egg cups have a nonstick coating. I also appreciated the thoughtful extra of a small red rubber spatula included in the box — it’s a nice touch and I’ll definitely use it for other kitchen tasks. A couple minor cons: the small black handles attached to the egg cups can be a bit tricky to grab with an oven mitt. I usually use my fingertips, but they can be a little hot at times. Also, while the included red spatula is cute, it doesn’t work as well for releasing the eggs as I’d hoped — I find a plastic “butter knife” style tool works better for me. Overall, this is a well-designed, high-quality poaching pan that makes excellent poached eggs with minimal effort. Despite the small handle and utensil quirks, I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who enjoys poached eggs and wants a reliable, easy-to-use pan.

Perfect poached eggs
Great product. Boil water, spray inside cups and add eggs. Place egg cups in the holder and cover with lid. Turn heat down to medium and for 5 1/2 to 6 minutes depending on size of eggs. Perfect poached eggs! Easy cleanup. Do not put cups in dishwasher but all the rest is fine. The screw in the cup handle will loosen.

Great pan!
This is a great pan! I’ve been trying to perfect the art of poaching eggs in water and just couldn’t get it so started looking for another option. I didn’t want another electrical appliance and my mom always had a little one egg poaching pan. I decided that was the way to go but needed more than one hole! This pan cleans up nicely and does a great job of poaching eggs.
