Great power bank for recharging your phone or usb-a charger devices. Purchased for keeping phones charged on long days at the beach or by a fire, where there’s no access to power. With 2 multi-charger cords, we can charge 4 phones and some earbuds at the same time. It’s not a fast charger, but it charges fine. Only improvement I’d like to have is the battery clicking into place like their tools do, it can be bumped off the battery rather easily… since I’ve got multiple dewalt batteries, this is way better than the various 10k-20k mah battery banks.

My side of worth money

This is a great little device if you've got some 12v/20v Max system batteries around. A 3ah 20v pack will charge your phone many times and I can easily get a full charge plus hours of use from a 12v pack with my Galaxy S3 (and it wasn't dead yet!) or run any number of USB powered gadgets for quite awhile. I think its far better than one of those portable usb power packs, and cheaper since I already had the batteries with my tools. This is great on the job site or anywhere away from power and also for emergency preparedness. The batteries recharge fast, making it ideal for charging off a generator and then having use of your devices for the rest of the time in an emergency situation. My experience so far has been the lithium packs hold their charge in storage very well so even if you haven't charged them that recently you should be able to charge your phone up anyway. I took a star off though because the operation of the battery charge indicator is truly illogical. I figured that much like the packs with the fuel gauge, there would be a simple button to press and light up the charge indicator. This isn't the case however. When you place the power source on a battery, it shows the charge level for a few seconds and then the indicator shuts off. There is no way to activate it again without removing and replacing the battery. This requires you to stop charging your device and disconnect and then reconnect everything just to see the battery level. It would make far more sense if you could just see the battery level during use. It's annoying but the usefulness of this device far outweighs that annoyance. I'm happy to see Dewalt is coming up with more handy accessories that I can use with the batteries I already have.

I placed it on one of my DEWALT batteries, connected a usb cable and it works as described. Not sure why they put the state of charge indicator on it because there is already a state of charge indicator on the battery.

My husband works construction and uses this multiple times a week with his dewalt batteries. We've also had several power outages since purchasing and it has been great to charge our phones on. Can be a little slow with 2 phones charging at the same time. This was the best buy for our family. Not only is it versatile for us but it's great quality.

WORKS GREAT FOR WHAT I NEED. PORTABILITY IS HANDY.

Bought this on a whim, and happier than I thought I might be. Still early days, but: Right out of the packaging I started recharging a Bose BT speaker and an old Zune mp3 player simultaneously. I have also recharged a Samsung tablet and my MotoX. So no issues yet with compatiblity A little hard to collect good data, but my 1.5Ah battery seems to replenish my devices well. Both my speaker and mp3 player went from low to nearly full charges on one battery and that was even with the devices being used at the end. --Having two ports--definite plus --Being able to make anywhere a charging station--definite plus --Not being leashed to a duplex outlet--somewhat of a plus (it is a kind of a confused mess to try to transport, especially if you have two devices being charged) Only two dings that I can think of so far: --Given my immediate addiction to using this unit to recharge rather than wall outlets means that I am cycling/aging my DeWalt battery at a much higher rate than if it was just dedicated to my tools --The readout lights telling you how much charge there is in the battery only shows when you first hook the USB converter to the battery. So after your devices have been charging for a while you can't tell if the battery is still supplying or not without a quick disconnect/reconnect of the two pieces. I appreciate that no one wants to devote battery life to keeping the "fuel level" lights on constantly, but how hard would it have been to put a button on the unit that gives an instantaneous reading of battery level? A couple more dollars in the price of the product would have been worth it. Not only is my jobsite better off, but now I have an extra resource/trick to use for power outages and other emergencies.
