I purchased this to replace my old ELM327 device which I lost. I wanted to find out more information about a warning light on my car dashboard. I checked with the ELM327 identifier app and I was pleasantly surprised to see it supports more protocols than my old device. It's easy to use, just plug it into the OBDII port of your car and pair it to your preferred diagnostic app (I use Torque Pro) via your phone. I was able to get the fault code and clear it. Luckily the fault hasn't reappeared so it's saved me a trip to the garage. These tools are especially helpful for clearing these kinds of faults as sometimes error codes are triggered by a momentary blip and aren't always indicative of an issue. These devices can also give you lots of other information about your car and can read off information from your car sensors.

This does exactly what it should do, the only thing is you need to download an app such as Torque to use it with. The app was only £2.99 so I think overall it will have saved me some serious time and effort diagnosing a fault I had with my Turbo on my Honda FK2.

The apps listed on the packaging aren’t suggest compatibility with this device. The device itself doesn't connect to the car’s ECU.
