It does what a mug should do, and more.
It's a mug, and it does what a mug does, and more. It's very comfortable to drink from, and if you use the lid, it keeps your drink cold or hot longer and you won't dump the entire contents if you tip it (it will leak a bit though). If you can afford more than one, you can stack this model on another one.I like the mug better than the more car-ready tumblers for drinking at home, since without the lid, it's width allows you to stick your nose in it and enjoy the aroma of whatever you're drinking. The only real useful comment is that I have another model (older?) that doesn't stack and is all metal, with no color coating. I think, without any scientific experiments, that the all metal one is slightly less efficient at keeping drinks at temperature longer. This colored version has a thin layer of color and that might be the difference. I choose the light blue color only because of lower price and faster delivery than the cooler looking all-metal or other colors.Like all Yeti products, it's well made, but this mug would not make as good a hammer as their heavier tumblers would. The only other drawback, is that, unlike ceramic or cheaper aluminum/steel camping mugs, you can't use them as a hand-warmer. Heat does not transfer to the outer layer.

Coffee Lover that doesnt gulp it down.
love it already and its been about a week. I have lots of different ceramic coffee mugs because i love coffee.a lot of coffee lol. a friend had a few of these, and i was over at morning pool party [south florida thing] and bought one because i don’t guzzle coffee - i savor it - which means in a fun ceramic mug, the coffee doesnt stay hot long.because its basically heating up the mug.love this. havent really used the lid yet so i cannot comment on that. For a mug that lets me take my time enjoying it… and love that the YETI brand on it is subtle and doesnt catch my eye.this is wonderful. the pic with the south carolina on it is 16 oz, the yeti is the 14 oz one. It’s shorter and wide - like a trad coffee cup.val

YETI products never fail to please.
I got a 10-ounce tumbler a few years back, and that started me off with YETI. I always wished that the 10-ounce had a handle. So I got two different colors of the 14-ounce cup (with handle) and I'm delighted with them. They're stackable and have magnetic slides to prevent spills. I love those features. The two cups I bought might seem expensive at $30 a pop but I have to say this: we will be using both of them a few hours each day year-round. The fact that the beverage stays hot for hours makes the price SO worth it. In these days, when reasonably-priced, quality items are hard to come by, I think YETI products are a tremendous value. I'm hoping that the handle holds up and will amend this review if there are any problems. Oh, and the cups are dishwasher safe. (Even though the description says "dishwasher safe", I have *never* put the lids of any of my YETI cups in the dishwasher. I only put the cups into the dishwasher.)

Magnet technology is so cool
Absolutely love it! I've been using insulated coffee mugs forever, and this time I decided to splurge on the fancy kind. My last generic coffee mug lasted several years, so I figured "if I'm going to have it for several years, I can pay a little extra for the fancy kind." I did not know about the magnet-lid-thingy when I ordered this... IT'S MY FAVORITE THING EVER!! So so so easy to clean. Very happy. Will definitely buy this product again, for myself AND as a gift item!!

Great for people who hands shake a bit. Great gift for elderly parent.
This is the perfect mug for anyone who shakes. I purchased this for my father-in-law who lived with us. He would spill coffee all over our house, so I bought this cup and l made sure the lid was on securely and off he went! Problem solved. It also kept the coffee hot for hours so he wasn’t wasting cups of coffee. Very high quality, dishwasher safe, and comfortable to hold.

Yetis are superior in every way except one.
As you can see from the first picture, I wanted to test a few different styles of Yeti and against a cheap substitute. I wanted to supersize my morning coffee & choose this 14 oz Yeti mug. Yes, it does take 14oz of coffee with room to fit the lid on it. The Yeti is superior in build quality than the Sunwill. But ergonomically, I like the size of the 10oz Yeti. Instead of gaining the extra 4oz from height, Yeti gained it in width, as in 100% of the 4oz. This made the cup unwieldy and awkward to transport, and I was uncomfortable lifting it in front of my laptop. The handle of the 10oz Yeti fits the fingers better than the Sunwill, (wider and more material used) making transport from coffee pot or room to room more comfortable. As for the temperature test. Once again, all the Yetis are superior. But how much is what matters. For the first hour the heat retention is identical (nearly), and then after that who cares if the Yeti keeps it hotter longer? It is already too low temp for coffee. As for the lids? IF you want a tight no leak fit. Get a YETi!For me, the 14oz model is just unwieldy. Some people are Oakley ~ Nike people and some people DGAF about brand image. I decided to pay half as much and keep the Sunwill as I DGAF. Just my Joepinion. For me, close enough is the same. Obviously, you are a different person with different wants and needs, and I hope I gave you the ability to make a wise choice for yourself. Aloha Joe Jr.As for the 3 ramblers I tested (missing is the BJPKPK 30oz rambler, it was too big for my hand but if you are a large person might be great for you). The Yeti is superior in build quality and ergonomics. It is more comfortable and fits the hand better (mine anyway). From the pictures you can see that the Yeti can be used with a straw or sans lid. Not so with the Sursip. I barely use a straw and the Sursip came with two as it came with two lids. My dad has the Yeti and was crushed when he lost his straw and found that Yeti makes getting a replacement cost prohibitive. As for the straw itself, the Yeti is larger and better in every way. My dad also had to buy a cleaning wire for his Yeti. The Sursip comes with one. As for the temperature test. Once again, all the Yetis are superior. But how much is what matters. For the first few hours they are nearly identical, and then after that the Yeti is again far superior at keeping liquids colder for longer. But, if you left them both out with liquid and ice overnight, they both will still have cold liquid in ice come morning. As for the lids? IF you want a tight no leak fit. Get a YETi!Some people are Oakley ~ Nike people and some people DGAF about brand image. I decided to pay half as much and keep the Sursip as I DGAF. Just my Joepinion. For me, close enough is the same. Obviously, you are a different person with different wants and needs, and I hope I gave you the ability to make a wise choice for yourself. Aloha Joe Jr.
