The Jet Black Kitchen & Bathroom Sealant & Adhesive (Hybrid Polymer) does seal and adhere as intended, but there are some practical points worth calling out if you’re comparing it with traditional silicones. What works • Once it does cure, the seal feels strong and waterproof. • The colour and finish are suitable for black trim and grout lines in kitchen or bathroom areas. Issues compared with ordinary sealants • Drying/curing time is long. It takes significantly longer to set than typical bathroom silicones. Even where it skins over, full cure can need many hours more than you’d expect, which isn’t ideal if you want to complete a job in a single session. • Very thick and hard to extrude. The hybrid polymer formula is much denser than ordinary sealants. Getting it out of the tube requires considerably more pressure, and standard caulking guns struggle if they’re not sturdy. It’s not a quick “squeeze and go” product. If you don’t mind the slower cure and have a robust caulking gun, it gets the job done. But compared with standard sealants, it’s less user-friendly — more effort to apply and longer wait times before you can move on.

Never sealed a bathroom before after watching a million videos I replaced the gappy sealant in our bathroom which has been bothering me since we moved in 7 months ago! Used the light great and found it easy to use. Cut a slightly larger hole in the applicator tube as the end is narrow otherwise, tip on the videos is to bend it slightly at an angle which helped me get to the awkward angles! Just waiting for it to dry at the moment..

I wanted to match the floor and move away from the awful white everywhere. This was easy to use as i have done it many times. However it is messy if you get it wrong or when trying to wipe off anywhere

My new favorite caulk! I love these! I found it cleans up well (with alcohol). AND you can reseal them to use later. AND...it doesn't stink! So far, the seal is great and it looks terrific. I'm pleased.

Super soft silicone. If you are not really good at applying silicone you should do some short test beads on something as this stuff caught me off guard how easy it came out compared to what I am used to. Perfect colour for my project
