What size should I get for a slim 8 year old boy?

Q: Could you please tell me what waist size the boys small and boys medium equate to? Many thanks

Hi I boughtbthe boys medium as my son is very tall and well built for his age (he does lots of sport and loves his rugby). He was finding the training quite gruelling on his groin and so I wanted get him something with more support and possible protection. The medium was a little large as he was then a small man size (just turned 12) but he said they were very comfortable and supportive. He is now a medium man size and they still fit well, I didn't get the box but will have to soon as he is taking up cricket this year as well but I think they should still be comfortable even when he has the box in as the cotton is very soft and flexible. Basically they are large for a boy probably more youth young adult size. Hope this helps. 

I can’t see why not. My son wears them over his usual pants anyway so he can wear his box.
