Extremely happy with this. I relieves me of storing scraps in the freezer then trekking them to the composter in the wooded are of my yard. My decision to buy this was the solution of what to do with the uneaten wet and dry kitty food (I have picky eaters). I put in egg shells, vege scraps, potato peels and in about 6 hrs it’s a fine completely composted to a dust I sprinkle in the garden. It fits in a corner, I can keep scraps for a week without smell, it emits a hum-not overly loud but I turn it on for overnight. Very good purchase.

I have a couple unpleasant experience with this machine. The machine worked fine on the 1st composting. After the 2nd composting was done, the power, clean, and filter lights came on. I unplugged it and tried the 3rd composting (all these were done during a 2 day period). The next morining when I checked on the machine, all the panel lights were flushing. I couldn't get it to turn off. So I unplugged it and returned the machine. I ordered a 2nd one thinking that I was just unlucky to have gotten a lemon. And guess what? The same thing happened all over again. I am glad that others who bought this composter have great experience with it but not me. I tried it the 2nd time because I really like the oderless and quietness of the machine. Too bad it didn't function properly for me.

I am amazed by this compost machine, it's capacity and the results. This is a wonderful alternative if you need to have less garbage and it fits pretty much all the waste from one day. There are many food items that can be handled in the bin - from fruits to coffee grinds to many, many other items. There is no noise with this machine and it only takes few hours to transform all your waste into perfect, ready to use flower and garden compost. The size is perfect for small spaces and also its look is very modern making it a perfect addition to our kitchen. The instruction book is easy to follow and there is nothing major to assemble. The materials are sturdy and dishwasher safe. Definitely a great and affordable solution.

This is great! Does an amazing job but is kind of small and runs a long time.

Very quiet and works great. I love that this has a drying feature before it starts grinding up the compost. The readout with the time remaining is also a nice touch. My only complaint (and not enough to knock off a star) is that the touch buttons are a bit too sensitive. More than once, we've accidently started its process while just closing the lid. Simple to stop, though, and very nice to be creating our own compost.

I had this unit for about a year. After a few weeks, the unit stopped working smoothly. I was able to fix it. And this happened a few different times. It finally got to the point that I couldn't fix the issues with the unit and reached out to customer service. Was on a chat with a sorry person. It would take them about 15 minutes to respond after every item I wrote. After an hour and a half they finally understood the issue. They sent me a screenshot of very basic troubleshooting ideas. When I said that I had tried those basic things they said I needed to have my composter serviced. When I asked how they go about that, they ghosted me on the chat leaving me there without responding for two hours and then ended the chat. After a few attempts I have up and I finally just bought a different brand. It was much better.

Amazing when it works. After repeated use over about a 9 month period, the screw holding the grinding blade located inside the compost bucket fractured. This cannot be repaired due to the location of the break. Looked for replacement buckets, but saw none offered by Nutrichef. The machine and broken composting bucket are now in my dumpster.

We LOVED this composter. We bought it almost 1 year ago. It worked flawlessly until 10 months. The screw in the bottom of the bucket sheared off. I contacted the company, they don't have any replacement parts. I admitted we added avocado pits a fee times. That is a no no. I admit that was our fault, not the manufacturer. But since we can't get parts, we will be moving on to a different brand. If we could get parts, we would replace the bucket, or the part that broke. But we don't want to pay another $300 just to have it break in 10 months again.
