Sleek looking dashcam, but lacks features.
The media could not be loaded. The sturdy box in which this dashcam arrives gives off a premium feel, suggesting top-quality craftsmanship. The dashcam itself looks sleek and feels sturdy, showcasing excellent build quality. However, there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, the absence of a Micro SD card is disappointing, especially considering the higher price point. Secondly, the dashcam's features are fairly standard, lacking any standout elements. There is an outdated micro-b port on the dashcam, this surprises me considering the cost of the dashcam and the overall premium look and feel to the product. A USB type C port would have been much better. While it offers HD resolution at 30fps, it would have been nice to have a 60fps option given the price and resolution. On the positive side, installation and setup are easy, and the dashcam doesn't appear obtrusive when attached to the windscreen. The footage quality, both in daylight and night-time recordings, is average.Overall, it functions as expected and provides decent recordings. However, considering that there are other dashcams available with better quality and enhanced features, including the option for a rear camera, at a lower price point (€129.99 at the time of this review), I wouldn't personally recommend this one.POSITIVESLooks great, very sleek, compact and great build qualityDecent video qualityEasy to setupNEGATIVESNo Micro SD card includedMicro B connectorOnly 30fpsHD resolutionOverpriced

Good quality dash cam
Recently, I ordered the BOTSLAB G500H Car Dash Cam which is currently priced at £149.99 with the aim to enhance my vehicle’s security. This system includes a front camera with 3K resolution and a rear 720P camera, providing comprehensive coverage of the road. The installation process was straightforward. Mounting the front camera was simple, but fitting the rear camera needed a bit more effort to hide the cables neatly. The front 5MP FHD camera captures clear, detailed footage, and the rear camera, although not as high-resolution, still provides a good view of what’s happening behind.Night driving is often a concern, but the color night vision feature of this dash cam alleviates this worry. It delivers surprisingly clear footage in low-light conditions, which is reassuring for late-night drives. The built-in GPS is a handy feature, recording essential details like speed and location without needing an external device. The dash cam’s 24-hour motion detection parking mode is particularly impressive. It gives me peace of mind, knowing that the camera is vigilant even when the car is parked. The loop recording feature is convenient, ensuring continuous coverage without the need to manually manage storage space. The G-sensor works well, locking and saving footage in the event of a collision. However, while the overall build quality is decent, it doesn't feel as premium as some higher-end models. The 140° wide-angle lens offers a broad view, but I noticed a slight fish-eye effect on the edges. Also, the adhesive pad for mounting could be stronger for more secure attachment.🌟 Pros:Clear front 3K and rear 720P footageEffective color night visionBuilt-in GPS for travel detailsMotion detection and loop recording for continuous coverageG-sensor for emergency recording🚫 Cons:Rear camera resolution could be higherSlight fish-eye distortion on wide-angle lensMounting adhesive could be strongerBuild quality good but not premiumIn summary, the BOTSLAB G500H Car Dash Cam offers a solid performance at an affordable price. It's a reliable choice for those looking for basic dash cam functionality with the added benefits of GPS and night vision. While it may not boast the highest specs in the market, it strikes a good balance between functionality and cost, making it a worthy consideration for daily drivers.
