Just bought a 60 year old house and need to have the iron pipe replaced; no money for that yet so bought these to go on my cold and hot water lines to my washing machine and dryer.They fit standard piping. They work well and my clothes feel very clean, better then they did on city water.A suggestion I think I saw in other reviews was to install these with a flexible hose adaptor. I did this as well - and it’s a good idea. They are plastic so metal on them going sideways would likely shear or break them. Use Teflon tape and an adjustable plier to make sure everything is tight and you have no leaks and they’ll keep your water clean.

10 out of 10 recommend. We put this on our washer because we have well water. The water isn't super hard but we want to prolong the life of our washing machine. Man this thing is awesome. It's a bit of a pickle to get it on the water lines but man is it worth it and the replacement filters are a decent price. Replace the filters every 3 months and you're good to go. This product will stay in my house. Love it!

I live in Kenya, and sometimes, we have issues with a dirty water supply. I wanted to protect my appliances, clothes, and dishes from dirty water. (drinking water we have bottled water) I found these FS-TFC Inline Sediment filters very easy to install and change the filter element. However, I might need something more severe as the filter was completely clogged after three weeks. I have ordered new filter replacements and will see how it goes. I think for most people these will work well.

These are perfect for keeping the mineral deposits from destroying the washing machine.

They leak and squirt water. The filters actually only filter water for a couple of hours, not the three months as claimed. Filters are supposed to be removable for cleaning, they are not. Very cheap poor quality and badly designed. I brought new hoses, used plumbers tape, adjusted water pressure, waisted my time and money.

I have not noticed a difference since we have installed these on our washing machine. Our water still smells, I’m not sure if our water is that bad or if the filters really just don’t work well.

We use evaporative cooler(s) on our patio and deck here in AZ to make outdoor living bearable in the summer. The main cooler will usually run about 6 to 10 hours a day, every day from about May 1 thru mid or late October, providing a cool refuge after working in the yard or field - we have several acres to maintain.Water continuously flows on the cooler's pads and evaporates, of course. Untreated or unfiltered water leaves a noticeable buildup of minerals on the cooler pads after just a few hours of use as the water here is highly mineralized (hard).Prior to installing this filter, we cleaned the main cooler, removing about 5 pounds of dry scale/minerals left over from last year. Then we fired up the system with this new filter.After about ten days of use so far, there is no visible mineral buildup on the cooler pads. I would have expected to see buildup the first day had I not used this filter.Time will tell, but so far I'm pleased. The ability to replace and/or clean the filter is a big plus. I ordered replacement filter cartridges to make that easy.
