This has been on my Christmas List for a while. It was love at first site! I wanted to get away from the plastic electric tea pots that used to be popular year ago, and now there are so many nice options! But this was very English Looking and country cottage but clean looking in white ceramic! It heats up water quikly and shuts itself off automatically after heating to boil in about a minute or so. At first the chemical smell was noted, as I had read others reviews, so I boiled an inaugural batch to steam off any chemical treatment from manufacturing. And now it makes plenty of cups of tea, or hot water for any hot drinks or soups, or instant oats. It is very convenient. Thanks so much for my lovely Tea Pot!

Update 11/5: Kettle started burning up— horrible burning smell, and made the whole house smell awful. I contacted the company about this, but they never responded. Don’t buy this kettle! This is beautiful and really gets the water hot. Three issues: 1. The cord is very short. 2. The lid is very difficult to put on and take off. You have to get the little bumps just right in the ridges, and that is not always easy because the one side doesn’t seem to be cut smoothly. 3. The outside of the kettle gets VERY hot! So you can not leave it on the counter after you have boiled the water if you have pets or children. And you can’t put it in the sink to let it cool because of the electrical connection. I put a pot over it until it cools. Also, I have burned myself a few times picking it up. Even though the handle is cool, the body is so, so hot. All said and done, it wasn’t cheap, so I will continue to use it until I need a new one, but I wouldn’t purchase this kettle again, even though it is quite lovely.

Very cute kettle, does a great job heating quickly and very easy to clean. Excellent value. The only thing I would say is the lid gets EXTREMELY hot when heating - you should let it cool before touching it.

When it works, it’s great. But I purchased this not even a year ago and for the last month, when we press the button to turn it on it doesn’t actually heat up. After some time, we release the button and repress it and it usually works. Something is faulty, it is only used sporadically until lately when our family was sick and drinking more tea than usual. Would not purchase again for this reason.

This is the most beautiful Tea Kettle I've ever owned 😍. It is great quality and i love that it doesn't have plastic elements. Is ceramic and metal heating elements. It has the auto shut-off feature, it holds enough water for at least 4 drinks and is easy to pour. I've used it every day for almost a year and it still looks like the first day I bought it. It is definitely worth the money!

There is something wrong with this tea kettle, and I'm not sure how toxic that smell and now taste is. I've had it for 6 days and use it daily, but yesterday I became aware of a strange smell after brewing water for tea. Then when I started drinking the tea, I realized that the smell came from inside the tea kettle. Today, I tried cleaning it thoroughly again including using white vinegar, but strong smell remains. The base also seems to stick to the kettle, and I have to pry it off.

Although this kettle is so pretty it has made the water taste like “plastic” or some kind of chemical every time I use it. I’ve had it for 4 months and it doesn’t matter how many times I rinse or wash it out, there is this awful plastic smell to it and taste in the water. I’ve tried making instant coffee, several types of tea, and the water ALWAYS has that awful slightly plasticky flavor. I will have to get rid of this and try another brand—very disappointing.
