Good book; helped me, some, as a collector.
Good information on what was in the book, but could have used more information. I will keep it as a quick reference.

Nice pics but inaccurate info.
The author states that the true test to determine Vaseline glass is if it glows under UV light. Untrue. If the author owned a Geiger counter, he could be a little more accurate. For instance, the U.S. Grant plate on the cover IS NOT Vaseline glass. I own 2 of them. Neither register anything on a Geiger counter but fluoresce brilliantly under UV light. This is due to ACTIVATORS such as manganese which cause fluorescence. This the same with fluorescent mineral collecting. No radioactivity, just activators. I buy all my glass pieces with my Geiger counter first, then check the fluorescence later. I prefer to use the English term for the glass, "uranium glass." There are many nice looking fakes that contain no uranium and can glow under UV. Time to move away from "Vaseline glass." Let's face it, WE WANT THE URANIUM! The SHORT section with the color pics is ok though. I got what I paid for. Found it for a low price. Definitely not a $20 book. You will be disappointed if you pay too much...
