Easy read. Great exercises to try out

Having read many hundreds of leadership, communication, and business books, I find I often get bored by them as they seem to regurgitate the same thing over and over. This book was a complete breath of fresh air! It is SUPER practical with real-world scenarios, specific things to say and not to say, to do and not to do. It is also unabashedly bold flying in the face of the rampant negativity, criticism, and cancel culture so prevalent today with encouragement to be POSITIVE (hence the name!) in your communications with others. I often mark up my books, and this one already looks decades old with all the underlines, highlights, and notes of the MANY gold nuggets of wisdom. =-) Here's an example of one principle that has STUCK with me: the incredible power of greetings. I have NEVER consciously thought of how I greet others for the first or hundredth time. Now I do! I now view greetings as an opportunity to move closer to another and to connect with them. This book immediately made my top 5% of leadership and communication books out there. I'd highly recommend it!

It is a must-read for all who are interested in influencing minds and people through the power of communication. The chronology of thoughts and messages is impactful.

I am at the end of the coursework in my doctoral program, and in one of my leadership classes, I was assigned the book Positive Communications for Leaders. The prompts and the challenges offered in the book assisted me in developing a more profound ability to build relationships with my colleagues. Thank you to Alex and Julien for opening the doors to this new ability.

This book has practical and applicable challenges built to enhance the communication capabilities within the leader. I highly recommend this book for leaders to expand relationships in organizations. Building the positive communication capacities in the organization drives a unified direction toward the leader's vision and this book is a great guidebook for implementation.
