rugged portable fridge
Rugged portable fridge / freezer that works with all vehicle types (three voltage settings for optimal cooling from small cars to full-size RVs). It cools quickly and is simple to use. Press power once and you are good to go. When you need refined setting they are there for setting exact temperatures, changing Celsius to Fahrenheit, or changing the voltage settings. Press the up arrow and gear icon button to unlock the menu. The outside of the fridge has a hardened plastic that works as a small table surface when needed. The locking mechanism is more secure than I have seen on similar portable fridges. It has two metal bolts that hold it in place, yet the latch is easy to operate. It's a very sturdy construction. I doubt the latch would bust open even in extreme circumstances. It has LED lights inside so you don't need to bring a flashlight when rummaging inside at night. The other surprising aspect is the low level of noise. You don't need to worry about it disturbing the piece and quiet of your camp site. The size is great. You can load in full size cartons of milk or gallon jugs if you need. It comes with a regular wall plug, DC car plug, and a port to plug in your solar array if you have one. Background: I was in the market for a new portable fridge to replace one that wasn't staying cold. I came across this one and it is form the same company that I recognized from the dashcam I installed last year (which I still love). It's hard to tell sizes for these things, so I ordered the smaller 19 quart version and it's just right for me and my family. If your family is bigger than 4, you may want to consider the larger size. I use a portable fridge for day trips, weekend camping trips, transporting food for holiday gatherings, and as a backup at home for weather emergencies. It's one of those things that I did not realize how much I would use until I had one. The recent increase in food and restaurant prices makes this a real money saver on trips. A little preparation and planning can save hundreds by having to buy overpriced drinks and food on the road. Conclusion: Overall, I am very happy with the functionality and build quality of the portable fridge. I would recommend this for families, road warriors, or couples looking to save on food cost or just bring healthier options on the road.

Performed great on my trip
I'm updating this review for a 2nd time and bumping to 5 stars. It's not a perfect product, but it's pretty darn great and performed admirably on a 4 day road trip for me. I'm very happy now that I purchased this product. For me having a car fridge is a game changer for road trips because I have a tricky diet, and it lets me handle more of my own food prep. I also have an EV and so it is a great backup for power failures, since I can plug it into the EV in utility mode. I had a previous car fridge and loved it until I took the time to test the temperature and realized it wasn't getting down to fridge temperatures. This one definitely does though (and lower)! Pros: It kept my food cold consistently for a 4 day road trip. I actually used a wireless thermometer as a double check, and it reported that the temperature never left a fairly narrow range of about 5 degrees. It is spacious and fit 8 full meals plus a bunch of sliced fruit and berries. The separate section is handy, and the 12V power adapter cord is appropriately long and can go from my trunk to my front console, where the 12V port is. The lid that opens from both sides is great. I didn't appreciate at first, but now do, that the voltage is shown on the display. This helped me troubleshoot when I got a low voltage warning (no fault of the product). I also appreciate the different levels of battery protection, which allows me to work around the low voltage warning when I know it is appropriate to do so. All of this is well documented in the manual. Cons: It is fairly heavy, although I can carry it ok -- tougher for sure when it is full of food. One of the handles creaks / seems not quite strong enough (the one on the heavier side), but you can still just use the protrusion under the handle as a handle, and that works totally fine. Sometimes the temperature on the display jumps up and then drops back down over the next minute or two -- I'm not sure but this may be part of its cooling cycle. At first it worried me, but with my wireless thermometer I learned that the temperature wasn't actually jumping, so it just is a bit confusing at first. I also think the display interface is a bit unintuitive. It would be nice if it showed both the current and set temperature, and it would be nice if error codes were more descriptive, since you might be on the road and not have the manual on hand when you get one. These are all pretty minor concerns IMO, but I do feel like there is kind of a learning curve with the cooler, and it is probably best to test it out a bit and learn its intricacies before you put yourself in a situation where you are relying on it, and when you have the manual for reference. I initially was very unhappy that the display was unreadable in the sunlight. Customer service actually took that feedback and sent me a new plastic cover for the display panel, where part of the plastic is clear instead of greyed out. It's not perfect -- it's still a bit hard to read because the sun kinda reflects off the non-illuminated segments making everything look like 8s -- but it's a huge step up IMO, because you can tell that the cooler is on, read it with a bit of effort, and it works perfectly when shaded by hand, which the initial setup did not always do. I've removed my previous video since it is no longer accurate. Also, customer service is extremely responsive, open to feedback and eager to ensure you are a happy customer. They've been great. Notably, they updated the product description in response to my initial review that noted the description sounded a lot like it was dual zone -- they removed the confusing language and even explicitly added that the product is not dual zone. Kudos to them for that. Then as I mentioned, they took my feedback that the display was unreadable in the sun and sent me a new plastic cover for the control panel, along with a howto video on how to replace it (it was super easy). Its clear that they want happy customers and positive reviews, and are willing to work for that. I am also the one that asked about the plugs being super tight in the Q&A section. They were at first (I couldn't insert the plug or remove it without bracing my body for full leverage), but my dad tried it and he wiggled the plug in and out. Not only did that work fine, but it seemed to loosen it up a bit, and I've had no further issues (and I've plugged and unplugged it a lot at this point).

Quiet, Efficient, Portable Refreshment!
Solid, actual, fridge (with real fridge parts), with the affordances of a cooler, and more. The Wolfbox 12v fridge/cooler is a game changer for my road trips (and grocery trips tbh). Its great portability makes it a perfect fit for my car without sacrificing too much space. Despite its compact size, I can still fit more than enough things for 2-4 people, ensuring the freshness and coolness of my perishable items throughout the journey. I love that I don't have worry about forgetting my ice packs or having to buy ice, then draining the ice water, yada yada. ⭐️ When it comes to usability, the Wolfbox's user interface design is rather good in my opinion. The intuitive controls and clear display (even in near direct sunlight) lets me easily adjust temperature settings, providing precise cooling for what's inside. ⭐️ It also has an anti-bump/child-proof feature that locks the controls until you hold the buttons for a brief moment! (the instructions are on the screen so you won't forget!) ⭐️ It's got a light for the largest chamber that turns on when the lid opens, making it easy to find things inside in the dark, which is really helpful for good cleaning as well. ⭐️ The thing I'm *REALLY* impressed by is the sturdy lid that OPENS BOTH WAYS *AND* IS REMOVABLE!! That's awesome because if I load it in my car the opposite way, I can still open the lid, and it makes it suuuper easy to clean for storing away! (though it'll probably live in my car forever). ⭐️ Energy use is another notable aspect of this fridge/cooler. It uses at max setting 55 Watts (12 volts 4.6 amps), which is way better than the old one I had. 🟨 Just make sure you don't block the air intakes/exits because as a fridge, it needs to exchange air to properly function! 🟨 When you first get it, let it sit for a day because the system needs to settle after being tossed around during shipping. I'm quite impressed. On top of how it just works, it's also very quiet. It's so hush-hush that I sometimes forget it's even there. This fridge/cooler just hums pleasantly along in the background while driving, leaving me to the peaceful sounds of whatever faraway road I'm on. (You can't hear it with music on 👍🏻). The wolfbox's exceptionally quiet operation is really a true testament to its excellent design, engineering, and high quality components. I hate unnecessary noise, so I don't have to worry about being distracted while driving. This is a solid, sturdy, ultra portable fridge/cooler, that's well designed/engineered and manufactured. It surpassed my expectations as a reliable cooler for road trips and grocery trips. It's exceptionally portable, it has a user-friendly design, it's energy efficient, and it just works! I think it's a worthwhile investment for anyone who drives around a lot. With this refrigerator in the back, you can embark on whatever adventures you want to with confidence, knowing that your food and drinks will be fresh and chilled the moment you need them. This really is thoughtfully designed, I'm really impressed.

Cold fridge and freezer pros and cons
So I was super excited upon receiving my Wolfbox 48 quart refrigerator/freezer dual zone. I unpacked it as instructed and let it sit for actually two days, instead of 24 hours, After which time I plugged it into test out this fridge and freezer. Looked pretty well-made, see my video. I did a walk around, latches seemed a little on the flimsy side But they seemed like they would be fine. You can choose to use both sections as freezers, both as refrigerators, or one of each however you choose. When I refer to fridge and freezer sides, it’s how I had it set up, Side freezer and larger side fridge. The app was easy to set up and use. It does lock pretty quickly so you have to make sure to unlock. I try to reach out to customer service/support through the app right away on Friday when the handle broke off right after we arrived at our campsite, but never heard back from anyone at all. Left a phone message, hope to hear back and sending an email as well. I must say I am a little apprehensive at how easily the handle popped off, there was no use of even the most amount of force it literally just flew. The reason for the three, waiting for a response from Wolfbox, and to determine what the solution is and how easily it is resolved. I will update if I hear back in the next couple days. If not, I will have to return it for a full refund. Just got back from my first trip out: PROS - Got cold fairly quickly and was able to keep the frozen foods frozen and the cold foods cold so only one, that was very encouraging. I had the DC plugged in for three days, it ran beautifully and maintained temperatures CONS: First use after loading it, went to open the refrigerator, larger, side, and the handle popped off, spring went. I don’t know where it couldn’t find it. This meant that we were unable To keep that side, sealed shut without having to set something on top of it which we did because now we were on a trip. The freezer did build up inside, don’t know if that’s normal or not, but was not expecting that to occur. Update 5/21/24 - I received a reply from Wolfbox, they said that they will be sending me a new latch to replace the broken one. Will update it again. Increased by star rating due to prompt customer service for response and resolution. Will update again after having received the parts. 5/30/24 I received the replacement latch but not the bar that it attaches too so I can’t replace the lacy h which means I can’t seal effectively the compartment. They want more pics - this is taking a lot of time and now on trip 2 without a resolution. I have 6 days left to return the item which is disappointing as I think it’s a good product, maybe I got a lemon. They could make it right by replacing it - I offered to send back the one I have. Tic toc, I am running out of time.

Great dual zone cooler
I got this cooler after days of research looking for a cooler for our yearly car trips we take, to keep in car and camps to keep medicine and food and drinks cool. Most of these coolers, seem to be very similar across the board, there are a few different base designs, and then each company puts a little spin on theirs. This one, if very similar to a Euhomy, Renogy, and BougeRV versions. The big difference that Wolfbox offers is dual lids so you can only open one side, and not let cool air out other. If you read the reviews, this is a great feature, but also appears to be a weak link. Most of the negative issues are the handles for these dual doors are different than the handle on the single door. People complain that they break often and have to get company to send new handles, which to be fair, seems to be as easy as a email and they respond. This is obviously an issue they are not hiding or denying as after purchase, i was contacted by them saying they would send me a new set, even without me having any issue. So while this is a bit of a concern, the fact the company knows its an issue, and is working to get ahead of it, is a great sign of their level of customer service. I believe the issue is people are dropping, or slamming the doors close. I have just been closing the door, with the handle pulled open and bit, push down, and then leg go of handle so it locks. As far as rest of cooler, its a dual zone, and lots of space in both compartments. The main zone has a drain plug, which you would be surprised how many coolers don't. When it first arrived, i was concerned by the weight, but empty, its not bad at all. Now fully loaded, it'll prob be a lot heavier, but with the included handle, which seems good quality, and the wheels that also seem sturdy, shouldn't be an issue. Doing some test and was pretty happy with results. On Max mode, with temps set at 0/44, the cooler, when cycling, would pull about 45 watts. On Eco mode and same temp settings, it pulls about 28-33watts when actually running. The app works pretty well. It connects pretty quick but i have seen that if you dont access the app in a while, its best to close app fully then reopen so it reconnects. Once in the app, the UI is easy to understand and adjust. For temps, in my testing, I've noticed that the fridge side will tend to be much colder than set, which is not a huge surprise when you have the next chamber set to 0. Doing some adjustments, so far I've found if you set the freezer to 10, and fridge to like 40-45, it'll stay pretty close. Also having food in both compartments will not only help with power usage, but also at maintaining temps.

Great Value!
I have used the 48qt off and on now for the past 7 months. In that time it has been taken on several camping and road trips. It has performed flawlessly, keeps things cold, and is very energy efficient. I have kept this connected to a Bluetti EB3A while on the road and even when connected at home which has kept it powered through a few power outages. The dual zones are great when you want to run as both freezer and fridge or just both as fridge. Would definitely buy again. When it first delivered the box was upside down (clearly labeled which way should be up) so that would be on the delivery driver. I contacted the seller and they instructed me to wait 24 hours before running. Everything worked fine when I powered up after waiting the 24 hours. The seller contacted me following up which showed me they cared.

A Must-Have for Every Adventure – The Ultimate Portable Car Fridge!
I’ve tried other portable car refrigerators, but the Wolfbox 12V Car Refrigerator is in a league of its own. Its dual-zone feature allows simultaneous cooling and freezing, with separate temperature controls for each zone—perfect for road trips or camping with family and friends. The reversible, removable doors make access incredibly convenient without disrupting the temperature balance. This fridge boasts a solid build quality, a large, easy-to-read control display, and a setting control lock to prevent accidental changes—features many competitors lack. The built-in can opener is a thoughtful touch, making it even more versatile on the go. Its folding carrying handle and wheels make transportation a breeze, whether for road trips or RV adventures. Using the AC/DC adapter or a power station, it adapts seamlessly to any setup indoor or outdoor. What really sets this fridge apart is its energy efficiency and smart features. The Max and Eco modes let me choose between rapid cooling or power-saving operation, and the three-level battery protection ensures vehicle’s battery stays safe. Plus, the app control is a game-changer, letting you monitor and adjust the temperature effortlessly. It is one of my best investment. I highly recommend this fridge for its practicality, functionality, performance, and reliability—it’s a must-have for every adventure!

Durable mobile fridge
I was repeatedly buying hot/cold bags (because the styrofoam coolers always seemed to find a way to tip over/break) to make sure groceries would stay cool during long trips to a grocery store and when making road trips. Bags of ice that would often melt and leak on the seat or floorboards of my car. So a friend of mine mentioned this car fridge. When I work from home, I use the AC power connector and keep drinks and fruits nearby to reduce trips to the kitchen, and to keep cool drink available during the night. The temperature setting is accurate; regardless what I set it to, the thermometer I used was within 1 degree. The picture is when it was set to 34F. This mobile refrigerator has the features that I needed. It cools down quickly and maintains the low temperature all with a quiet operation. The insulation is evidently of high quality as it doesn't need to turn on as much as I thought it would need. Fits nicely in the back and still accessible to open the lid. The top can open by either side, is quite clever in design, and is considerably stable. The LED lighting inside, which only turns on when the lid opens, produces plenty of light. The outer shell is very strong, which is nice as I'm often not careful loading cars. The auto lock of the touch screen is nice to prevent inadvertent changes that go unnoticed and to prevent little ones from tampering with the controls. I'm looking forward to using this for camping trips and game outings as I can see the usefulness of the freezer side to freeze a layer of water that can be broken up and used in drinks.
