COLD STEEL Large Luzon 6" 8Cr13MoV Razor-Sharp Clip Point Blade 7.5" GFN Handle Tactical EDC Folding Knife w/Leaf-Spring Lock

This thing is massive and awesome. Somehow, it still fits comfortably in an average jean pocket without being uncomfortable or looking absurd. I've carried much smaller knives that didn't travel as well. Not sure how they pulled that off, but they did. It's weighty compared to other pocket knives, but not for the size you're getting. Then action isn't the smoothest I've ever seen, but it's not bad either. Clicks into place securely and there's a lock to prevent an accidental fold if you want to use it. Very sharp. Passed the tomato test easily, went through one like butter. The grip feels more plasticky than rubbery, which is fine, I don't forsee it being an issue. There's more than enough meat and grooves to get your paws on. And hey, past all that, now when you tell her you've got 6" in your pocket, you won't be lying.

Only cold steel would make a knife this preposterously large for everyday carry...it's kinda ridiculous, but, I love it. Great quality, well made. Fit and finish were excellent. Blade is well ground, centered and very sharp. Slams open with authority using the flipper...a bit more challenging with thumb studs and detent is okay, but, does allow me to fling it open with a determined snap of the wrist. Locks up solid with no play whatsoever. Drops shut freely and will get you if you aren't careful. If you want a lot of knife for the money and size matters buy it!

I’m a knife collector and enthusiast. I love big folders and this large Luzon by cold steel is a fantastic blade. Stout, good blade stock, good quality steel at this price point. Still lightweight and compact for the pocket. It’s a fun and absurdly large, almost novelty knife but like all cold steel knives, it’s very capable. Of the dozens of knife brands I own, from budget to custom, cold steel still produces the best factory edge of any knife I’ve ever used. Incredibly sharp out of the box and aus8/10 steel takes a razor sharp edge but is easy for even a novice to sharpen. This is the most knife you can get for the money, in my opinion. Cold steel’s knives have increased in price since they were bought out by another company and sometimes for the worse but it’s nice when you still have very fun, affordable options in this price range. Phenomenal knife and I highly recommend you get one, and one for a friend.

This knife is impressive. It's really big, but it doesn't take up my whole pocket or feel like it's trying to pull my pants down like my Rajah 2 does. It was a little stiff and a hint gritty feeling at first, but after a couple drops of oil and flicking it open a few times, it is smoothing out nicely. And even though the top guard isnt hook shaped, it will still catch your pocket and open the knife like a Wave, if you want it to. I wasn't sure if I would like the plastic clip, but it turns out that I actually like it better than the steel clips. It wont scratch the paint on your car/truck if you accidentally rub against it, and when you hold the knife in your hand, the plastic clip just kind of blends in and feels like it is part of the rest of the handle. Keep in mind that there are two sizes, and even though the smaller version is only 2" less blade than this 6" model, the overall size difference is huge. If you want a pocket knife specifically for a defencive weapon, for the price, I really don't know if this one can be beat. It isnt going to lop off limbs like a Rajah or an Espada, but it costs a fraction of the price of either of those, it carries easier, and it is still a very formidable blade.

It's large. It's a large knife. It's A really really large knife. I bought it because I collect knives, I can't carry it because we have a 4" limit on blade length in the city I live in, so it's A toy. It's A really big toy. It's A well made, solid, sharp, great big toy, and I love it, as impractical as it is. 4 (actually 4.5) stars at this price point because nothing is perfect, but as a toy? It's great. I have a lot of Cold Steel knives and implements in my collection, because they are well made, reasonably priced, and useful in camp. This ain't that. This is just so I can say to my knife collecting friends "no, that's not a knife, THIS is a knife..."

Trotz einiger negativer Bewertungen des Large Luzon, habe ich das Messer nun doch bei Amazon bestellt, da ich neugierig war und wissen wollte, was mich da genau erwartet. Ich besitze schon mehrere Messer von Cold Steel und bin von der Fertigungsqualität noch nie enttäuscht worden. Zu meiner Freude auch dieses mal nicht und das Design des Luzon ist schlicht umwerfend! Das „Hosentaschenschwert“😉 liegt fantastisch in der Hand, es lässt sich sehr gut aufflippen und schließt auch sehr smooth mit einem satten Klick, und das Gewicht finde ich genau richtig. Der Liner-Lock ist präzise gefertigt und hat null Spiel, jedenfalls bei meinem Modell! Das war ja eigentlich immer der Hauptkritikpunkt beim Luzon, aber das dürfte Cold Steel augenscheinlich ganz gut in den Griff bekommen haben. Fazit: Wieder ein sehr cooles und gelungenes Messer von Cold Steel! Meine Erwartungen wurden nicht enttäuscht und ich würde es sofort wieder kaufen!
