Fantastic full 10,000 lux light therapy lamp device, that I'm using for potential energy.
Fantastic full 10,000 lux light therapy lamp device, that I'm using for potential energy. Potential energy, what? Well, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to adequately explain what I mean by that, because one, I don't fully understand it myself just yet, and two, I don't think any sort of potential health claims can be made here in this setting. Let me first say, this is a high quality unit, you can feel the quality, right when you hold the device in your hands... it's solid, sturdy, has a good high quality feel and look to it, and it performs in this way as well. Great device for what it's intended for, which is seasonal sunlight discrepancy type issues. But I've got a little something else in mind... I live in Texas so there's a lot of sun here, so that's not really a problem, although I know plenty of people here that stay in the air conditioning and get about as much sunlight as someone in Alaska or wherever... they avoid the sun majorly... despite the fact that the sun provides vital health support for so many bodily functions. And that brings me to what I have in mind, and I'll loosely try to explain, with the little bit I've heard. First of all, I heard about a guy who hasn't eaten any food, in like two years. What? I know, 2 years... no way, you'd think... but they say it's true... then I heard about some Monks or something that never eat any food at all. Wow. I have no plans to quit food, but here's what else I heard after hearing about the people not eating for so long... and that is something along the lines of the human body only gets about 30-50% of it's energy , from calorie intake, from food... and the rest of the energy that the body gets, comes "from light"... sun light in particular is what they were saying I think. Anyhow, when I heard that, then it made sense on how someone could go 2 years without eating any food at all... if I could just find out if that guy got a lot of sunlight, then I'd know that's what it probably is, but if he never got any significant sun, then I'd have no idea how he does it... same goes for the Monks, if they get a lot of sunlight, then that would explain that. So I don't know what I'm going to do... I don't think the light is supposed to make you not hungry, it's just that it might provide energy to the body, like food does. So I'll have to experiment, use this light for however long, then see if I have energy if i don't eat for 12 hours, or a day, or something like that. So you can see what I mean that I really don't what I'm talking about, but I'm hoping to figure out some magical key here, so we'll see. Great product.

Bright Light for Those Dreary Winter Months, Limited Features
I’ve always struggled with seasonal depression. After years of trying everything I’ve now finally found a good treatment regimen of medication, therapy, vitamins, and light therapy. For my situation I found that light therapy alone wasn’t enough, but your results may differ. Everyone is different. This works by letting the light hit the backs of your eyes and can support a good sleep cycle if you use this for at least 30 minutes in the morning. This light is extremely bright at 10,000 lux and is about the size of a hardcover book. It’s extremely simple to use with just one button on the top. However, it lacks any adjustment so you’re either being basked in 10K lux or it’s off. Really wish there were some basic features such as a timer button or even just 3 intensity settings. Especially at this price. That said, it is of great quality and is the best size. The color of light is bright and does resemble daylight.Since this lacks an alarm clock, timer, or really any other feature other than an on/off button I don’t use it to wake up. It’s portable enough that I can place it near arm level on a desk or in the kitchen when I’m getting ready for the day before leaving the house. This is especially helpful for the colder weekends in the winter where getting up and rolling with the day becomes more difficult for me. Having a bright light helps trick your brain and helps you keep going.

Mimics natural sunlight with full 10,000 lux light therapy
Spending a lot of time indoors working away from natural sunlight is not very good, and it is a reality these days since a lot of us are working either from home or inside in an office or business. I don't get a lot of natural sunlight where I spend most of my day and thought a light like this would do some good. It's not a replacement for going outside for me, but akin to taking a supplement where I wouldn't stop eating and just take supplements; this light helps with some UV, and I'll still go outside as much as possible.I originally thought this was battery-powered, but it runs off the outlet and is nice and bright. In order to get a good dose of UV, I stay within 24 inches of the light for about 30 minutes a day.I really like this light for its look, build quality, and ease of use. It does one thing, and it does it well. The power button had a nice click and turns on and off like an iPad (the light is the size off). The part that lights is about 9.5 inches from corner to corner, and the whole light is about just under 11 inches from corner to corner.Time will tell if I notice anything from using it over the next month or so. I'll add more of my findings later, but as this writing, I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for some full 10,000-lux light therapy.

BRIGHT!
This lamp understands the assignment. It is compact, but puts out a lot of light, which is very welcome with shorter days.

Very Bright but Cord is Short
This is a very bright light therapy lamp. I wanted to make sure I got a 10,000 Lux light which is recommended for light therapy and this one delivers.I hoped to be able to set it up on my vanity or on a table in my living room to use while I was doing other things but the cord is quite short. I am using an extension cord with it but it makes it look kind of junky. I haven't used it long enough to notice mood/health effects, but it seems well made, has good instructions, and is easy to use. I like how it is compact and easy to store as needed.
