Hmm Good Idea But….
I really like the idea of these boiled egg timers but I’m not sure they work the way I boil large eggs. I boil from cold water, once boiling I turn off the heat, leaving the lid on, and time them for 2 minutes and 45 seconds, this egg timer doesn’t work well with method I found, it registered I had hard boiled eggs but they were perfectly soft. I think boiling eggs using boiling water then adding the eggs and timer would work best. It works by watching the colour change from pink to white in stages. What I don’t like is the smell from the timer. When I took it out of the boiling water it emitted a very strong chemical smell. This troubles me as eggs can absorb things. So I’m not sold on these, but try them for yourself, they certainly look cute. 🐣

Made the water smell
When used, the heat from the water made the items give off a very strong plastic-chemical smell. Once they were taken out, the smell was still in the water!!
